Craving Lately: Embellished Belts

You know what they say about it's all in the details? Well this couldn't be more true if you ask me that is. For the most part, you can find me in my favorite jeans and my moto jacket, but I love to find ways to add a little bit of glam in unexpected ways. I came across these embellished beauties the other day going through an email for boho weddings and thought these sparkly wedding accessories could so work into my everyday look (not the jeans and moto days but the dress days). I'm thinking embellished belts would be good to change up a great little black dress for date night. What do you feel about adding a little sparkle to your look?

Splurge or Steal

You can put a scallop edge on just about anything and you bet I will be the first one drooling about it. So when I came across these amazing scalloped heels I just couldn't stop thinking about them except they are out of my budget. But then I came across these very similar budget scalloped heels for a fraction of the price! Oh and they have two other colors. Basically, you can get all three if you're like me and cannot resist scallops. Totally normal, riiight?

Boho In The City

Let's be real, it's basically Summer and my full on boho is in high gear. But factor in this whole off the shoulder top and oooh-m-gee I'm o b s e s s e d. When I saw this floral top back in stock, I scooped it up before it sold out again. I had been trying so hard to get it out of my head and I'm glad I was able to get my hands on it! It was the perfect top for a leisurely long weekend and dinner downtown with friends at Cerveteca (get the fish tacos!) But I know I'll be having it on repeat!

How have you been feeling about silver jewelry these days? I know if you would have asked me that question a few months ago, I would have cringed. My Rocksbox this month included all silver jewelry and at first was didn't know what to do with them. But I love a good fashion challenge. These silver rings ended up being my favorite and a great way to tip toe into silver.

White Jeans

You guys I have a confession. I've had this floral top and white jeans in my closet for probably a month. Yes, a whole month just sitting there with tags attached-so unloved. And you know what? Now, I just want to wear them all the time! You think after the emotionally draining amount of time (I spare you the details) to find the perfect non see through white jeans that I would have worn them right out the store. Call me crazy but white jean shopping is it's own beast! Both are some amazing scores from TJ Maxx. I know! I'm always on the hunt for great brands at a steal and when I saw this Joie top (love this one) and Paige jeans you bet I felt like I won the lotto. Okay, what I imagine the lotto feels like. I linked up some really cute options for Joie tops that are on sale. Oh, and this little hair style is my new favorite! It's super simple to do and way better than a ponytail for those I don't want to do my hair days. Trust me when I say you will get tons of compliments!

Weekend Casual

Did you have a nice weekend? I hope you did! I have to say mine was so full and really didn't want it to end. But you know what makes a great closing to a weekend? Brunch. More like Sunday brunch. So sure I didn't go to yoga, but how do you say no to amazing eggs and french toast and your favorite guy? You just don't. If you are in the LA area, I highly recommend trying Canele. I can't wait to go back to try their baked pancakes! Okay, now I'm hungry again.

Now, let's chat about these jeans. I'm sure I'm like the last person to get a pair of distressed jeans. You know the kind your mother questions and offers to buy you new pants without holes in them. I really try not to wear these around her. Anyway, after trying to find a pair that has some distressing but not over the top because I have this fear they will fall apart when I have them on. I gave up only to find these from Old Navy on a whim. And you know what? It took me months to actually wear them, but they are easily becoming my favorite jeans and I've gotten over my fear of distressed jean falling apart. Don't ask me where I got that idea!

Some days I just can't decide whether I'm all about color or well black. Lately, I've been drawn to black and green dresses (options here). Black is so chic and effortless, but green is bold and such a statement maker.So I'm thinking I need to get both because why should I have to choose?

Camo and Leopard

You know when your alarm goes off in the morning and it takes everything in you to get out of that bed? Then, you have to figure out what the heck to wear because you sure didn't plan it out the night before, but you're still in a daze and drawing blanks. Yeah, well that happens every now and then over here. Okay, maybe it happens a lot more than that. I do get up at 5 am and have 30 minutes to get it together and half that time can get sucked up by just trying to shake off that zombie state. So more often than not I talk myself into jeans and tshirt. But let's be real that can get boring fast. So that's when I add on things like a moto jacket and fun accessories. Black Joggers

You see these black joggers? Yep, these would be my new best friend. I've worn them 3 times in the first week of owning them! I think my favorite jeans are a little jealous right now. But these Mariner pants have elevated my work look and weekend look so clearly the ROI is high. Not only are they a great way to break out just wearing jeans all week long (yes, that's been happening over here), but oh-m-gee they are super comfy! Like yoga pants kinda comfy! Believe me when I say you want to wear these when you go out eating way more fried mac n' cheese than you should. Oh, yeah, I discovered fried mac n' cheese this weekend. Uh huh life is complete.

Summer Favorites

Sure it's not technically Summer. Okay, okay, it's not that close. But it was 90 degrees yesterday and there's been a lot of ice cream this week. So if you ask me that counts as pretty close to Summer. And of course I've been shopping for all my Summer must haves.

Unlike years before, I got a jump start on the epitome of any Summer must have-the bathing suit. It took me awhile to take the plunge on this tribal one piece. I mean bathing suit shopping it hard enough, but buying it online seemed extra risky. Happy to say it's everything I hoped for!  Here are some more one-piece swimsuits that caught my eye:

Last year, my go to hat was the classic panama hat and you can bet that I still will be reaching for it. So with all the fun in the sun that's bound to happen, I couldn't resist another addition or two. I opted for a black straw hat that's under $30! Turns out I love it so much that I'm ordering the natural straw version too! It was just restocked and I'm sure it will sell out.
