Summer evenings are truly the best. You can be out later and just keep it simple. This black slip dress by none other than Free People has been a staple in my Summer attire-not sure why it hasn't made it on the blog sooner. But it's perfect for an evening out. Here's the thing. It is kinda is a nighty and I was trying to convince the boyfriend that it wasn't. It's not completely a lie because I've never worn it to bed-ever ever. Plus, when I bought it I had every intention of it being a dress to wear in public. I totally chatted about it with the sales girl. So this time around I knew I had to step it up with the way I styled it. I turned to my trusted jean jacket, leopard sandals that have been on major repeat, and panama hat. Black slip dress is a dress!

I didn't even think that dress was a nighty until you mentioned it! I think it's all about how you actually style a piece like that. By adding the jacket, nice shoes and a hat, you completely transformed it into a totally great LBD for summer.
