Black and Plaid

You know what happens when you have a crazy hair day? You put a hat on it. Truth is I attempted to curl my hair a new way and I got big knotted curls. So much for soft natural curls. I don't know what went wrong. But I tossed a hat on and headed to the Ruche sample sale with a couple of friends. My friend suggested going and driving so clearly that was a heck yes! Turns out it's far. Like really really far. It was one of those moments where you ask 'Are we there yet?' But but it was pretty worth it. After getting there to be greeted by this massive line, my friend starts chatting about everything is $7. I had no clue. How the heck did I miss that detail?! Then one of the Ruche employee's comes by to say hello and recognized me. Oh yeah I have a blog. Seriously, I was blushing and the whole bad hair day. Top it all off she introduces me to the founder who is super sweet and humble. I was a fan of the company before but completely solidified my support for the future.

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!

Casual Cool

Lately, I've been reverting to more casual and basics with a little cool factor. My mojo jacket is just that. Well, at least I think it's cool. But these kids in a car didn't seem too impressed. You guys they flipped me the bird! And you know what? I just kept smiling because that's what a blogger would do, riight? It actually makes me laugh.

Over the weekend, I had sometime to do a little shopping. Specially, jean shopping. I have to say I underestimated the amount of time that I would need for that. I ended up with cute pj's. Needless to say, I need all the suggestions I can for your go-to brands for jeans. And go!

P.s High five for a short work week!

Craving Lately: Black and White Plaid

Maybe I should really be calling this my Christmas wishlist because I want one of each of these black and white plaid picks! And well it is the holiday season. With my recent love for black and white, it only seems natural to want it in plaid from. I've been a fan of plaid for sometime. Originally, I saw that amazing coat and have been stocking it every.single.day. But seriously they are all so so good! It's a toss and go look fabulous. Anyone else loving black and white plaid?

Weekend Flares

Okay, okay I would wear these any day not just the weekend. I wore this look once to work and twice over the weekend because it's that good. I may have not washed my favorite skinny jeans if we are being real. But these flare jeans are really kicking my skinny jeans butt. They instantly amp up my look and requires little effort. Don't even get me started on the compliments you'll get. Have I convinced you yet?

P.s. See the last time I wore this top here!

Gone With the Wind

When you have your heart set on wearing something, nothing can stop you! Or at least me that is. Nope, not even the wind. I'm sure I looked nuts to passersby, but I had no regrets. This drop waist dress was going to be worn. What can I say, I'm living on the wild side. Besides the fact that this dress (or any dress) isn't ideal for the wind, this dress would be practical for a fest.....ahem Thanksgiving. Because pumpkin will be eaten. Just planning ahead for that food baby.

Hope you had a great weekend!

P.s If you're looking for a comfortable heel for the holidays, I can't recommend these enough!

I used to not understand black and white and I don't know what I was thinking. Because 'hello' this printed geometric top is ah-may-zing! From the unique print to the faux leather details, it's a throw and go super fabulous top from Dora Landa. Oh and what's that on my feet? I don't know the last time I've worn heels here. But these heels are made for walking. I really want these mid-heels in other colors like leopard, but love these yellow pair too. Decisions, decisions! When you find a pair you love or can walk in, well you have to get them all, riiight?

Shorts Story with Babesicle

If you would know any better, I'm all about those shorts and yes even in Fall! I've teamed up with Vanessa from Babesicle to show you two ways to wear them. I went for a day look with neutrals and finished it with booties, which seems like the perfect fall touch. But for those of you in cooler climates tights and a scarf would be a great addition. Make sure you stop by Vanessa's to see her cute look and blog!

Craving Lately: Holiday Dresses Under $100

Nope! Not even close to realizing it's the holidays. But I can't deny those red cups from Starbucks telling me it sure is! However, I will embrace the season by looking for pretty dresses. That's one thing that I'm pretty darn good at. Whether it's work or family parties, you are going need a little something for the occasion. These three have caught my eye and my wallet totally approves too! Holiday dresses that are stylish and under a $100 will leave you room for all those presents you'll still need to get. The floral dress is one I have been picturing wearing for my company party that I am unaware we are having, but just in case I'll be ready.
Could you see yourself wearing any of these?

Happy Friday!

Gingham Dress

My closet really would like to know why I haven't added gingham to the mix sooner. I think it's because I knew just like plaid it would quickly become an obsession. The second I laid eyes on this gingham dress at H&M I knew I couldn't leave it. Sure I was picking up last minute things for our Halloween costume and what not. I even tried to justify it but saying I could wear it for Halloween and go as a stylish bandit, because that would technically be more original. After the whole back and forth, I went with price. It was under $20 and I would use it plenty of times. I plan to fancy it up and wear it with a mojo jacket and the perfect black heel.

Happy Wednesday!

October Highlights

So call me crazy, but is time flying waaayy to fast?! It's really hard to believe it's November meaning it's holiday season. Um..yeah I'm so not ready for that. As we can see, I didn't even buy a pumpkin during October. But October really was filled by so many good memories.

-Had a blogging date with my friend Jessica at my favorite coffee shop
-One of my favorite hairstyles is definitely these braids
-Printing mixing and my chai fix
-The first of my friend's got hitched and not only was I a bridesmaid, but it was just a great day to experience love and thee cutest wedding.
-Still finding ways to wear my panama hat
-Just a couple of happy bandits for Halloween, but don't let those smiles fool you. We walked away with a lot of candy;)

Hope you're having a nice week so far!
