Off the Shoulder Dress

off the shoulder dress (on sale!) // belt (borrowed, similar, similar) // espadrilles (under $35) // ray ban aviators

Just give this girl the beach, sunshine, wine, amazing food, flowers, and her favorite guy. That basically sums up my birthday (aka everything I love). We spent the weekend in one of my favorite staycation spots, Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley (wine country). It's hard to believe that was only a week ago. Ahh! Take me back already! There seriously is a soft spot in my heart for Santa Barbara. Maybe it's the slower pace. Maybe it's the charming Spanish style buildings. Maybe it's the beach. Either way, I always want to visit and never want to leave.

This boho off the shoulder dress was just the perfect dress to take me from pancakes right by the beach to the lavender fields and wine tasting. I can't even tell you how much we did and ate. But this dress was so comfortable and actually stays off your shoulders. It does run big so I had to belt it, but I think it looks better that way. If your want to try the off the shoulder look, this one is on sale and gets plenty of compliments too!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Flashback Fashion Fridays Linkup #1

Hellllooo Friday! I have to say it's been pretty rough coming back from last weekends extended staycation for my birthday. Oh yeah Monday was my birthday. Feel free to send gifts;) We went to Santa Barbara and the weather was so nice and slightly chilly (that's not a complaint). I had every intention of wearing this printed romper but never did because of that slight chill. And well I might be a year wiser I'm still cold blooded. But it was perfect for the weather near my house. Hello 95 degrees. It's bit shorter than I thought so threw it on to lounge by the pool. Just for reference I bought the small and I'm 5'4. I'm thinking going up a size would be good for length.

Anyway, on to something exciting, the very first Flashback Fashion Fridays Linkup! This is something that Jessica and I have been working on putting together. Our goal is have fun and take a look at how our style has evolved by linking to your post from a year ago. Totally okay if it's not a year ago-last 6 months, last month, last week all are welcome. We hope you'll join in!

This was last years look and funny enough I am wearing this top as I type. I can see myself wearing this top for a long time! See the post here.

Linkup Rules:
 1. We'd love it if you follow us (me and Jessica) on bloglovin
 2. Please link up a direct link to a post and not your homepage
 3. Use this button to link back to this linkup or include a link to this post on your blog.

Wedge Sandals

1 Dolce Vita wedges / 2 Michael Kors wedges options here / 3 Sole Society wedges / 4 Lucky wedges / 5 Vince wedges

With Summer in full swing and several trips in works, there's nothing like finding great wedge sandals to complete any look. From dresses to shorts, a neutral wedge is a great way to elevate your summer style and some height. Bonus points, for comfort too! My only problem is whether picking black or cognac.

Do you spot a favorite?

3 Ways to Wear White Jeans

After the longer than long search for the perfect white jeans, it took a little time to put those beauties to use.
Maybe it was the fear I would dirty them, but now I can't stop wearing them. Here are my three favorite ways to style them:

Wear with a black top for a classic look as I did here. If you're feeling a little adventurous, try an off the shoulder top. Add a fun clutch for a boho finish.

Pair you white jeans with your favorite tshirt and add a third element like a fun kimono. Full post here.

Going for a more feminine vibe? Work those florals into the mix with your white jeans. I always love to finish the look with a jean jacket, but works with or without.

P.s. There's something exciting happening Friday! I'll be teaming up with my blogging buddy Jessica for a new linkup called Flashback Fashion Fridays. We'll be taking a look at our current style and looking back to last year's look We hope you'll join in the fun!

Splurge or Save: Gold Sandals

During the Summer, I practically live in sandals and I'm always on the hunt for a great looking sandal that can work with everything. After coming across this gold pair on Pinterest, I just couldn't help from thinking about them. They definitely make a statement and could easily be dressed up or down. While I didn't take the plunge yet, I did manage to find a very similar looking pair here at a fraction of the cost. Plus, it comes in a few other amazing colors. The only problem is how many colors to get?

Summer Essentials

Just give me the ocean and sand and I'm one happy girl! If there's one thing I love most about Summer it's the beach. Okay, it's no secret, but I love the beach anytime of the year. It's just now I can bring out all the things that scream Summer at the beach like a cute swimsuit and not freeze. This two piece swimsuit from Garnet Hill is one of two I picked up this season. The blue paisley print is something I know that I can easily wear year after year and not feel like it's gone out of style.Best part is that it's SPF 50! Since this was only our first trip to the beach this Summer, I resorted to some of my essentials like a button down shirt to use as a cover up, my favorite sunglasses, my trusty Panama hat, and you can't forget a good pair of sandals. I'm hoping to pick up this two person towel (oops we did forget a towel) and a picnic basket for our next beach trip to Santa Barbara this weekend.

Are you looking forward to beach trips this Summer?

The Black Flat

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
It's a sad day when your favorite black and might I add amazing flats are looking all worn out. I still haven't had the heart to retire them, but finding a great black leather flat (options here) is a top priority. And you know what? I have to say there are really some show stopping unique black flats! So many details like those scalloped pair, cutouts, or flirty straps. So I guess you can say this black flat quest might not be such a bad thing. Have you found a great black flat recently?

Floral Kimono

white jeans // kimono old forever 21 // matisse sandals (option under $20) // silver necklace c/o Helen Ficalora // black stone necklace via Rocksbox (use ADRILATELY for a free month)

I'm not going to lie here. But these white jeans have been on major rotation (just see here and here). They might have been thee hardest to find, but now it's just like how in the world did I live without them? Anyway, let's talk about the kimono. I mean I did title this floral kimono after all. It's the best thing to toss on this time of year. I've lived here all my life and I refuse to believe in June gloom. Then June hits and suddenly you need a light layer to toss on and this kimono fits that perfectly. Oh, and it has pockets! I bought it awhile ago, but found some great options for you.

Splurge or Steal: White Eyelet Dress

There really isn't anything more perfect than a little white dress that screams summer to me! Lately, I've been crushing hard on white eyelet dresses especially off the shoulder white dresses. Since my birthday is coming up and we are going to be in Santa Barbara, I feel like now might be the time to snatch up the perfect eyelet dress to celebrate. The second I saw the Saylor white dress, it certainly was love at first sight! But after doing a little searching I found this Re:named white dress that's more budget friendly and still gives that wow factor. But I also found this and this which are so cute too! The question is which to get?

Blue Floral Romper

blue floral romper (under $20) // gladiator sandals (run 1/2 big; more sizes here)  // ray-ban aviators // silver necklace c/o Helen Ficalora // long pendant necklace // neon hair tie c/o Haybands // wrap bracelet via Rocksbox (get a free month with ADRILATELYXOXO)
I have a couple of weaknesses and one of them is rompers. As I've said before, it's already summer in my book, which means it's time for rompers to come out full swing. Oh, and ice cream! When I saw this blue floral romper, I was immediately dawn to it with all the vibrant colors. I was a little hesitant to order because I wasn't sure about sizing with foreign companies, but knew I couldn't beat the price tag. For reference, I went with my usual size small and I'm about 5'4. It's a good thing it fits-I got adventurous and picked up this pink floral romper too! I also recommend getting the expedited shipping. Placed my order Friday and it arrived the next Friday. The quality exceeded my expectations too!
Since it was warm out over the weekend, I figured it would be perfect for my lunch date with Jessica. We went to one of my favorite wine spots and did a lot of catching up. It's just really nice to have someone who can blog talk with you and just share what we have been learning. And how awesome are her photography skills? We took a little walk in the nearby neighborhood just to take these, which only a blogger would understand and do willingly.
