The weekend may have felt like it went by in a blink, but so many things happened. It's really only until this moment that I realize how much I actually did do. From deciding to attend Lucky Fabb to meeting with a client for a little personal styling session, it was quite the weekend! I really can't wait to share more about both soon!

Since it started to get a little chilly around here, it seemed so fitting to bring out one of my favorite blazers. The color and texture is what gives it that special flare and to think I was going to pass this one up?!

How was your weekend?

Craving Lately: Spring Dresses

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Either I'm just in full Spring mode or I secretly am dreaming up a vacation, but dresses have been on my mind. Okay, I've got a case of Spring fever and wanderlust going on. It's really hard not to have both when there are so many great dresses for Spring and if you ask me all these could work in the Fall (I know, I know the last thing you want to think about is cold temperatures). #2 from Ruche has been giving me major temptation and all their dresses are 20% till today so I may just have to hit click finally. Anyone else have a case of Spring fever and some wanderlust?

Yay for Friday! Have a great weekend!

Floral Repeater

Some days are just waaay better than you expect. It's even better when it's mid-week and you want to high five someone because you know the week is all down hill from here. That was yesterday. It was really good. I unexpectedly got out early. These blog pictures were able to be snapped. Annnd I got off early. I know that was already mentioned, but it's worth mentioning again.

This outfit is a prime example of my love for repeats. But this shift dress is one of those pieces I knew I would have so much fun styling different ways (see here and here). If you're looking to add a little playfulness, print mixing with floral and a touch of leopard is a win win combination.

Thanks for stopping by! xo

Weekend Stripes

I'm back at it in this stripe button down. I basically lived in this top over the weekend. If you ask me, I'm just getting a good ROI. Pairing it with cargo pants and my jean jacket is a great put together casual look for running around. It did take me from a very productive brunch with my new friend Marissa to picnic-ing at Malibu Wines with my favorite guy and more new friends. Thinking about this makes me want to press rewind.

Hope you're having a good week! xo

Feeling Bold

Truthfully, I could live in a grey tee and my skinny jeans. But add a fun bold blazer, killer shoes, and fun accessories it really takes it to a new level. While this is completely my ideal date night look, I am kicking myself for not thinking of this ensemble for our past date night to the new Ace Hotel. How can you say no to this view? I guess that means I will be back and in this outfit.

Now let's talk blazer. I mean this bold printed blazer. This is one that I feel head over heels for. Bold yet neutral print, faux leather lapel, and under $35. It's a recent purchase from H&M and no not from the sale rack. There really was no way I was coming home without it.

Thank you so much for reading! Happy Tuesday!

Simply Stripes

You know those days that just seem or feel off? Please don't tell me I'm the only one who has those days. Yeah that was one of those days last week and to make those days go a little smoother turning to classics help to make getting dressed a tad easier. It also tricks the world into thinking you got it together because you look like you do. While I might have felt blue that day, I am glad it was just one day compared to so many other great days. This oversized button down has been on rotation a lot. You probably will see it again really soon. No crime in repeats.

Also, if you have a sec hop over to Gina's blog On the Daily Express. She kindly asked me to pick out some of my favorite items for today's post.

Hope you have a great start to your week!

Craving Lately: Pretty Florals

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
It's safe to say that with the official arrival of Spring, it's only natural to want to pick up anything with flowers and so many of these pieces have me wanting nothing more than to wear pretty florals from here on out. Whether it's for everyday or maybe a little getaway, adding a floral piece can never be wrong. I've been eyeing #4 for weeks, but #5 would be so fun to mix with stripes.  Spot a fave that you can see adding?

Happy of happiest Fridays!

Spend // Save: Track Skirt

A few weeks back I spotted that Sanctuary track skirt and had to try it on. It's unique cut and detailing that gives it a sporty chic look is what caught my eye. But that print is pretty darn fabulous too. I resisted, which took will power, and I think it paid off. Of course, I would find a great alternative to it at Forever 21. Both are reasonably priced, but for under $20 it's hard to say no to the save.
So would you pick the spend or the save?

Hope you're having a great week! xo

Maxed Out

Lately, I've been trying really hard to make use of my closet and I've been getting reacquainted with pieces I've forgotten about. This dress is one of those pieces that I've fallen back in love with.  It makes me want to head to some topical location, but until that happens pairing it with a jean jacket is a great way to wear it. I'm not ruling out that vacay though. Anyone want to plan a beach getaway with me?

Feeling Pleated

I have to say that I'm a big ol' mushy sap when it comes to my other half. Bring on the cards and flowers. Nothing fancy but little thoughtful things. I can share this kind of stuff with you, right? It's kinda crazy to think that today marks 6 years of dating! Like how the heck did 6 years fly by? But there's no big plans or any plans for that matter. After spending so many years long distance, it's just nice knowing that we're not in that phase this year. That is satisfying.

And with a good day to like today, I think pleats are only appropriate. This pleated skirt was one of those purchases I bought waaay before I was ready to wear it, but it's getting plenty of use now. It's just one of those instant uplifting mood boosters!

Happy Tuesday friends!

Did everyone have a nice weekend? I would say mine went by in a blur. My guy was out of town and let's just say the weekend felt like it was missing something. I did manage to remember just in time to get my green on. I had a phase where I loved everything green and I had to have these. They definitely are a pair I still like to bring out. They definitely put me in a good mood!

The lovely Lauren of Fizz & Frosting invited me to co-host her Monday link up! Hope you'll join!

Craving Lately: Kimonos

cute and affordable kimonos

123
Maybe it's all this sunshine lately (not a bad thing at all), but I know that soon there will be days that will too hot for jackets. I think we are pretty clear how I love jackets from this weeks posts see here and here. When I started to see all these kimonos pop up, I couldn't have been happier. There a great alternative to a jacket and won't have me looking like I'm overheating in 80-90 degree weather. They come in cute prints and have such ease to them! Whether it's a simple tee and jeans or possibly a bathing suit cover up, I'm craving one in every floral and cute print I see! The first one even has a some print mixing going on in the back-super cute! Can you see yourself picking one up?

Happy Fri-YAY!
