Meet Tatiana

Over the past couple of months, I've had the pleasure of getting to know the all too hilarious and super motivational Tatiana and all I can say is that I wish she lived way closer. The girl can crack me up and get me pumped all at once! She reached out to me to help her style her tshirts for her business called By Tatiana, which has the slogan 'Smart & Single'. Even though I'm not single, I am smart and I love Tatiana's message behind her brand-be happy where you are and enjoy being single. I mean really we all could use that reminder to be happy where we are. This is one of looks I did for her campaign and you can see more over on her blog. There's a sweet giveaway happening too!

Style by Adri

It's here! It's finally here! Toss some confetti! You're probably wondering what that is exactly. It's Style by Adri, my personal styling services for the everyday gal!

Over the past few weeks, I've been giving a some insight into what it's like to be one of those gal's that needs a little style love. The truth is that I get this innate desire to help the everyday gal because I am just that. No, I'm not going to be in Vogue or any other high-end fashion magazine nor does that even seem relate-able. No, I really don't get runway fashion even though I tried so so hard in fashion school. And no most of my knowledge for styling developed from the love of getting dressed not my mom. My mom was my first gal that I gave my style help and found what I love to do-helping the everyday gal define what is style for her not style telling her what is right or not. It's the everyday gal that has to get up, go to work, go to school, get hired, and go on dates and why shouldn't she look her absolute best?

You might be thinking it's just clothes. I know, I used to think that too. But it's more than just clothes. It's about showing the world who you are by dressing for whatever opportunity comes your way. There's nothing more rewarding than helping one of my gal's get the style she deserves and lands that new job, starts a new relationship, or simply just feels more confident about herself!

So whether it's just taking the stress out of getting dressed for an event or figuring out what works in your closet, I have different options that fits your needs. So if you feel like your style is holding you back, let's chat!

Keep, Toss, or Swap

I'm so excited to share these photos of a project that my super talented friend Marissa and I put together last month. Not only does the woman have major photography skills (just check out her feed), but is always welcoming her doors to her Bourbon and Goose Studio at the Unique Space. Combining our skills, we held a workshop called Keep, Toss, or Swap. There was mimosas and scones to start, styling tips and tricks,  picture taking, and mingling.

Getting these ladies picture perfect after we put together a few looks from the clothes they brought. They both wanted to get a set of professional pictures for their social media and websites.
Having a little fun in front of the camera too!

The Unique Space has so many cute walls with the best wallpaper and make for great backdrops. Our favorite was this gold spotted one!
As you can tell, there was a lot of fun going on in the process! The ladies got a new insight on some of the items they brought from their closet, fun yet professional images, and a some cloth swapping.

Keep your eye's peeled! Marissa and I are working on the next one and would love to have you there!

Happy Wednesday! xo

Accessorizing for Work

One of the best parts about being a personal stylist, is going through a gal's closet and showing her how much potential is already inside there. Every gal has her own challenges and one that many miss is accessorizing. Even though today's client didn't have a big collection of jewelry, we focused on just one necklace and figuring out ways to make it work for that 9-5. She's a spunky little lady that loves art and wanted to bring that out in some fun appropriate work outfits.

Working with the same necklace, I showed her different ways to incorporate it. The yellow adds a fun punch of color that can be used to add contract or compliment the yellow in the print. Overall, she was given more confidence in adding color and pairing jewelry with her work ensembles and left a happy stylist:)

Happy Hump Day!

The Closet Audit

closet audits with a personal stylist
How many times do you feel like your work outfits have become a little stale? That's exactly what my client Sarah was feeling. Sarah works in an office by day, but is a talented pianist that is full of personality. While like many of us, she has a limited budget for new clothes and I knew with a fresh set of eyes we could maximize what she already had in her closet.

One of my favorite pieces in Sarah's closet was this tweed blazer. It's a great neutral that went with just about anything and perfect for a freezing office! I also picked out this dress that had such a classic shape, but had a sexy back (clearly a no no for the office). Sarah said she hasn't worn the dress ever, but I showed her that it could work for the office with this blazer.

If there was one thing we shared a love for, it was stripes. I showed her a simple black and white ensemble with a pop of color is still chic for the office and has personality. She said this channeled her love for French music, so clearly we were both happy with this one.
Using that same tweed blazer and pairing it with a simple navy skirt and mixing different blouses, I created an easy formula for Sarah to follow on her own.

Overall, it was a fun closet audit for both of us! I was able to breath new life into Sarah's work ensembles that left her feeling great about getting dressed for work.

If you have any questions about working with me, feel free to email me!

Have a great Thursday! xo

So.many.favorites! Hello, pretty wallpaper! Hellooo, new favorite dress! It was such a great day at the BG Studio over the weekend. It was a day of styling and fun picture taking. You can see some behind the scenes here and here. I don't even know what could be more comfortable than this shift dress, especially for the 90+ degree weather and moving around on set. Summer-like weather really brings out the boho in me and I love adding touches of glam like fancy earrings for something unexpected.  And don't worry! I'll be sharing more about this project very soon!

Happy Tuesday! xo

Styling the Jetsetter

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been working my client Nelly to get her ready for her trip to Brazil (yeah, I'm still trying to talk her into taking me). Her main challenge was building just enough looks for 12 days using as much as possible from her current wardrobe, which mostly is office apparel.
We actually did a quick shopping session prior to seeing her closet, which is a little unorthodox but in the end it worked out. Together we found some basics and items that would be fun for this dream trip and would still love to wear after her trip.

Taking pieces that we bought and mixing from her closet, I was able to create more than enough outfits from 18 pieces. Not only does she have a no fuss plan of what to wear, Nelly has a suitcase that actually has room for souvenirs!

Happy Hump Day!
