Happy Friday! Who else has an extended weekend? I know I'm looking forward to it and heading out to the beach tomorrow. And if you don't know I'm a huge beach lover! There's really no set plans, which is just perfect to me. Although, I am hoping to get some shopping in because some of these sales are insane. I had stocked this top and snatched it up at 40% off, but now it's 50% off making under $25. I originally wore it out to brunch with my white pants (I know, risky) and later wore it with denim cutoffs. For being a mostly black top, it's breathable even in the dead of summer. Trust me, I tested it in 100 degree weather. It passes the test. 

Now, let's flashback to last year's look, which happens to be with these exact same white jeans. Even better, is that it's another take on black and white. You're probably questioning a moto jacket during summer of last year. No, I didn't loose my mind. But they were taken during a trip to San Francisco which is so unpredictable.

Craving Lately: Black and White Plaid

Maybe I should really be calling this my Christmas wishlist because I want one of each of these black and white plaid picks! And well it is the holiday season. With my recent love for black and white, it only seems natural to want it in plaid from. I've been a fan of plaid for sometime. Originally, I saw that amazing coat and have been stocking it every.single.day. But seriously they are all so so good! It's a toss and go look fabulous. Anyone else loving black and white plaid?

Do you ever have those moments where you question yourself about your fashion choices? I'll be the first to raise my hand. I used to not understand black and white and I don't know what I was thinking. Because 'hello' this printed geometric top is ah-may-zing! From the unique print to the faux leather details, it's a throw and go super fabulous top from Dora Landa. Oh and what's that on my feet? I don't know the last time I've worn heels here. But these heels are made for walking. I really want these mid-heels in other colors like leopard, but love these yellow pair too. Decisions, decisions! When you find a pair you love or can walk in, well you have to get them all, riiight?

Casual Black and White

Sometimes you have one of the most memorable weekends and totally realize how memorable it is after it's over. But it's definitely a feeling of complete thankfulness that it happened. The first of my girlfriends is getting married in two weeks, so we had to have a girl's weekend (aka bridesmaid bootcamp). Yes, I'm one of her bridesmaids and so darn excited to be a bridesmaid! So we headed down near San Diego and stayed in a house through Air BNB. From hiking to wine tasting, we did it all and have so much to laugh about. There really isn't anything better than great girlfriends!

On another note, I've had this tribal print top since last year and has been a go-to! Not sure why it never made it on the blog, but it's available again this season and I'm thinking I should get the black version too!

Summer Vibes

Alright ladies, LA is totally being punished for having such great weather during all those winter vortex months. Major heat wave happening (100+ degrees!) and where's a girl to go to beat the heat? She goes shopping! Well I blame it on my mom. She decided to go shopping without me and then has a fashion emergency. So of course I'm not going to leave her hanging-her personal stylist to the rescue! The fun part about helping her is that I can actually pick out things for myself too. Hellooo, perfectly oversized chambray!

Some days all you need is a simple look that makes you feel great! This shift dress is an old favorite that I fell in love with at first sight. Paired with white sandals and done! Clearly, these white sandals have been a staple this week. But anyway no matter what season, you just can't go wrong with black and white!

Spend // Save: Track Skirt

sanctuary skirt // forever 21 skirt

A few weeks back I spotted that Sanctuary track skirt and had to try it on. It's unique cut and detailing that gives it a sporty chic look is what caught my eye. But that print is pretty darn fabulous too. I resisted, which took will power, and I think it paid off. Of course, I would find a great alternative to it at Forever 21. Both are reasonably priced, but for under $20 it's hard to say no to the save. 

So would you pick the spend or the save?

Maxed Out

 Lately, I've been trying really hard to make use of my closet and I've been getting reacquainted with pieces I've forgotten about. This dress is one of those pieces that I've fallen back in love with.  It makes me want to head to some topical location, but until that happens pairing it with a jean jacket is a great way to wear it. I'm not ruling out that vacay though. Anyone want to plan a beach getaway with me?

OTK Boots

All I can say is I'm so happy it's Friday! Who's with me? And the second I hear rain is in the forecast I'm at a loss for what to wear except these OTK boots are my saving grace. Again, I am planning around shoes. I really think I just might be a shoe lover. Since it might rain more, you can find me in my boots safely inside or maybe doing some shoe shopping. Just a little tip-Macy's is having a sale right now where they give you 25% off purchases of $100. Hellooo, more shoes! Or clothes or whatever. But these and these have my eye. You know where I'll really be;)

So I had this brilliant idea to be productive during my lunch break and edit these pictures. Sounds like a good idea. Just go to Panera and take advantage of that wifi, riiight? WRONG! Not unless you like creepers looking at your screen. I mean it's just an awkward situation all together. One you look pretty self absorbed and two it draws eyes like bees to honey. Then just accidentally make eye contact with one of them. Yeaaah. AWKWARD!

Mixing and Remixing

 Over the weekend, I did a little celebrating with two sweet friends. Someone celebrated a birthday-that definitely called for a girl's brunch. We found a cute little spot called The Six and is perfect if you're trying to avoid a crowd on a Sunday. Good food, mimosas, and plenty of chit chat!

This top and skirt are no strangers to the blog, but together they make an undeniable cute pairing. It definitely makes me giddy for some spring fashion!
