The Best Madewell Gifts

top (major sale!) // jeans // shoes // clutch c/o (under $20) // sunglasses

UPDATE: Madewell is having a huge sale with 30% off! Everything but jeans and their transport collection is included. Code: LATEBIRD

We all know I'm a die hard Madewell lover and with all the trying on and shopping I do there, I felt inclined/highly qualified to put together a list for you (or maybe it's secretly for my family). And, yes, Madewell can be a little on the pricier side, but you'll find something at every budget here. Trust me, anyone obsessed as I am will appreciate the time you put shopping at her favorite store. I might have these already or items that any gal would love to unwrap (and keep for years)!

And don't forget to linkup with us! We love seeing your latest posts and connecting with you! We are obsessed with Kate from The Student's Wife and Kristina from The Kontemporary!

Flashback Fashion Friday's Linking #20

floral top // jean skirt (runs large) // tan hat (size medium) // purse (similar) // booties (sample sale find, but love these)

Happy Friday people! If I could hug Friday, I would. In the meantime, let's talk skirts. I don't what it is but I have really been into skirts. Okay, maybe it's because they really are having a moment and all over the internets. I had my eye on another jean skirt in addition to my button down jean skirt. Totally sold the second I put this free people skirt on. It has that good kind of stretch that makes the tush look ahhh-mazing! It does run big in the waist, so make sure to size down. Oh and clearly my latest obsession is this hat! Yup two posts in a row guys. It comes in 3 sizes and super affordable. Take that as a hint that I will be wearing it a lot around here.

And you know what time it is? It's flashback Friday time! You can never go wrong with a jean jacket and dress combo seen here. I have had that jacket for a few years now and wear it all year long. The dress though needs to be pulled out again. I really want to do a more bundled look with a bomber jacket, tights and boots.
Thank you for joining last week! We love having returning friends and new faces join in each week!

Feeling Like Fall

All my favorite Fall pieces that have been sitting pretty in my closet are rejoicing now. It's FINALLY feeling like Fall in LA. Seriously, I'm pulling out everything that screams layers. This oxblood jacket is no exception. I didn't know when I was going to be able to wear it, but the time has come and I find it goes with everrrything! If there's one thing I would say is my go-to in cooler months it's a good jacket. You probably will be seeing it a lot around here.

In other news, can I just say I'm officially hooked on Old Navy. This top (last seen here) and these jeans are some pieces that I cannot stop wearing. And we all know how much I love a good lace up flat so when I saw these restocked I just had to. Forget about picking nude or black because they are under $30 each-both it was!

Flashback Fashion Friday's Linkup #19

Yay for Friday! I hope you are doing something waaayy more exciting than I am like dressing up. I'm dog sitting and think I should at least pick up some candy. Isn't so funny how Halloween lands on a Saturday and we have zero plans? Are our friends having a party and not inviting? Not to sound like I'm not in the spirit of Halloween, but I'm kinda okay just staying in with the dogs and that bag of candy. Here's to hoping we don't get any invites. Because really we means I usually have to go out and figure out the bf and my costumes if we get any sudden invites. And clearly this has nothing to do with this outfit-ha! But it's an outfit I have been meaning to post since these are some of my favorites!

Now, lets flashback to last years post here. This probably is one look I could wear over and over. That top is just too pretty and a go-to when I have a don't know what to wear kinda days.
Thank you SO much for linking up with Jessica and I each and every week! We love seeing all your great style!

Flashback Fashion Friday's Linkup #17

Sometimes you need to give things a second chance or just a chance at all. But mustard the color or the condiment have never been my thing. The color mustard just takes me back...like waaayyy back to those middle school years and you were forced into wearing a mustard tshirt for P.E. Let me tell ya, that is not a pretty look. That sweaty red like a tomato in mustard yellow has haunted me since.  But, yes, you do mustard in a delicate floral and guess who has a change of heart. #raiseshand Now maybe I'll go give the condiment a try, but if there's one thing I can't get enough of it's this top. It was perfect for my date with Jessica last weekend. So ladies sometimes you just have to give things another chance, you know for fashions sake;)

Now, let's flashback to last year. I have to say this one is a pretty special one. It's from my good friend's wedding when I was a bridesmaid. It's hard to believe it was a year ago!
Now, it's time for you to link up with us! We love seeing each and every one of your posts!

Flashback Fashion Friday's Linkup #16

Not sure where my brain is this week, but you toss in the fact that I fly by the seat of my pants and throw in a concert that's been booked for months now and realize that you forgot to edit your pictures. #badblogger So here's a peek at a look that I totally planned on sharing because this is by far one of my favorite dresses (last seen here) and now on sale (Yay!). It definitely has a Summer vibe, but my favorite new flats help transition the look for Fall. And seriously these flats are SO comfortable! It's like you're walking on a cloud. You can see how I styled them here too.

Now, let's flashback to last year's look. It's still has some girly vibes, but definitely edgier. I've been waiting for it too cool down a tad to pull this skirt out again.

Now it's your turn to join the fun! Jessica and I go through each post and love see all your looks!

Flashback Fashion Friday's Linkup #13

Fri-yay! I just want to squeeze you! I'll spare you all the details, but let's just say it's been one of those weeks. You know the kind where your bank freezes your bank card because online shopping at some UK company called Topshop seems suspicious. Okay, I just spilled it. You guys I can't online shop for a good 7-10 business days till I get my new card. I begged them to let me at least get my Topshop order in. You guys I really am crushing hard on these tassel flats! My shopping carts are full and staring at me. I'm trying to see this as a sign that I should relax on the shopping. #staypositve

But it's Friday and that whole bank situation isn't going to get me down. We have linkup and I can't believe it's already #13! Time sure is flying. Now, let's flashback to last year when I went wine tasting. You can see the full post here. This swing dress is still one of my favorites and love that it's comfy (aka loose so I can eat as much as I want)

Thank YOU for linking up last week! We hope you'll join Jessica and I this week. We get excited to see your outfits and posts!

Flashback Fashion Friday's Linkup #10

floral dress // espadrilles (under $25) // earrings (under $5) // ray-ban aviators

Floral. Pleats. Lace. Love at first sight I tell ya. I tried walking away from it, but I came right back for it and guess who also loves it? Yup, my favorite guy and that really sealed the deal for me. But really he might have not liked it and I still wouldn't have returned it. Sometimes you just have to wear what you love for yourself. It's just a nice bonus when your other half gives you the thumbs up.

Now, it's time to flashback to last year and see if things have changed or not. Last year, really was my year for rompers. Still loving florals and espadrilles, but not sure how much I really love this romper any more. Maybe if I try restyling it with some fall layers once it cools down. Don't forget to hope over to see Jessica's post!
