It's in the Details + Linkup

sweater (under $20!) // jeans // booties // sunglasses // ring c/o

Reworking my mind-frame around what I buy and focusing on pieces that are more than a 'one-day cute outfit' has been one of the best decisions. Rather than having tons of pieces that hopefully work with what's in my closet, I now have a bunch of things that go together. It's about finding special cuts and details that create visual interest. The cutouts and ruffle on this blush sweater has enough detail without being over the top, still can be worn so many ways and super affordable. Just because a girl wants to invest in neutrals doesn't mean it has to be expensive. However, it's about knowing when to splurge. This cute ring is one of those items that falls into the splurge category. Dainty pieces are timeless (if you ask me) and so versatile for layering. It's from Mejuri who's line is simple, modern and interchangeable. I'm thinking this and this would look great stacked together.

What are the items you are willing to splurge on?

Pop of Blush + Linkup

jacket // top (on sale) // jeans // scarf // booties (go up 1/2 size) // purse

It's days like this that I realize that I wouldn't ever survive winters where it snows. I was sooo close to not even taking these because I was freezing, which is why you only see one shot without my scarf. Thanks to Jessica for pushing me to take these the other day. We ended up having a bit of blogger date-coffee at a cute place, blogging pictures, and an event. I don't think it gets more blogger than that. Oh, and of course I found the perfect sketchy alley for these pictures.

This lace-up top is one of my recent buys from Madewell. It was from my fitting room post here. It's on sale now, which I've been waiting for. Still waiting on a few more pieces to go on sale (fingers crossed!). Not going to lie, this top is cute, but wrinkles (as you can see). I still love it. Okay, now I seriously need a new purse. Not that anything is wrong with this one, except I've been wearing it in 99% of my pictures for the last year. It's faux leather and it's held up so well. Anyone have anything they recommend in the crossbody style?

Thanks for linking up with us! Means so much! We love Tilden from To Be Bright and from Lee LegalLee Blonde!

Blush + Linkup

purse // perfume (Macaron Rose) // top

Okay, it's been one of those weeks (maybe two) where getting enough blog pictures is impossible. Things get canceled, cars have problems, and then there's more assignments handed to you at work-you know life. But it's teaching me that sometimes you just have to focus on what's going right and to be a little flexible. Speaking of good, these pretty blush pieces at least have me distracted in the time being. Oh, and I've been obsessed with that perfume for sometime. Besides smelling amazing, it's under $20 and the packaging is easy on the eyes.

Thanks you for linking up with Jessica and I each week! We love see all your style posts and drawing inspiration from you! Here's a look at my outfit from last year. Still love each of these pieces!
Psst...I'm headed to San Francisco on Saturday. I've been there many times, but would love to find new must eat places. So make sure to share! My stomach will thank you later:)

Embroidered Shift Dress + Giveaway

I don't know about you, but this Summer is all about amazing embroidery and I'm o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d! When I saw this embroidered shift dress from Pink Blush, I knew it would be a great piece to wear during these warm days. Have you heard of Pink Blush? Well not only do they have cute dresses, but so many things you'll immediately want to add to your closet and your wallet won't break the bank either. Total win, right?

Now let's talk about the dress because it's just that good. It's even lined so no worries about it being see through. One of the reasons I love embroidery in the Summer is the fact that it acts as an accessory. And honestly wearing a statement necklace in the Summer heat is not my thing. I know not everyone is a fan of shift dresses and I get it, but adding a jacket or even belting it can give it a whole new look.

You know what's even better? A giveaway! I mean that is the best way to get through a Wednesday if you ask me. Pink Blush is offering one lucky reader $25 to their shop! Good luck!

P.S if you can't wait, you can take 15% off with code ADRILATELY15
