This Skirt of Mine

There's just something about some sequins that make getting dressed that much better! This skirt was probably my first adult sequin purchase (definitely no regrets). If there's one thing I can't resist, it's aztec print but done in sequins it's the icing on the cake!

Morning Walks

 With all the talk of goals and resolutions that the New Year brings and slowly the enthusiasm dwindles right about now, I felt a little bit of that revived and fresh feeling again. I tagged along my mom and her dog on their morning walk and there it was-that clean slate feeling. There's just something so beautiful about the early morning sun and air just before the streets get busy, before that rush. Some of you might cringe when I say that I'm such a morning person, but it's on mornings like this that really help clear my head. 

Now let's talk fashion for a sec, okay? This jacket that I have a big crush on as you probably know was just asking to be mixed with prints! I was only going to wear the striped tee but decided that adding a little leopard never hurt and if I can quote the one and only Jenna Lyons "As far as I'm concerned, leopard is a neutral." I'd like to think I'm making Jenna Lyons proud because lately my mom just thinks I've turned into a 5 year old who wears everything all at once.

Black Jumpsuit

So I'll be honest I've been searching and dreaming and searching some for the right black jumpsuit. Let me tell ya it's no easy task! It's got to fit just right, no bunching up you know where, something clean and tasteful. Oh my goodness tasteful. I even did a craving lately post way back when (see here). And when I saw this gem hanging there in my size (there was just two left) I just knew-this is the one!

Since the day didn't really involve anything other than some errands, I kept it casual with a jean jacket and my renewed favorite flats. But I am totally waiting for the perfect occasion to dress it up. On a side note, I need to say that I was having a really good great bun day! Sadly, I don't even know what special thing I did. But if I did then you might see too many days of the great bun...
