Embroidered Jean Jacket

jacket c/o // dress (just $25!) // espadrilles // purse // hat // sunglasses

The calendar might say September, but it sure doesn't feel like it here! LA is having a major heat wave (upwards of 100 degrees) and that was before these pictures were taken. Truth be told, I caught myself wanting to complain about it. But with everything going on in Houston, this heatwave is not that bad. Sure, it's uncomfortable. Sure, I'm sweaty and sticky. It's not pretty, but my life and home is intact. I can go on with my day-to-day schedule something easily taken for granted. Even though it's blazing outside, I still can dream about wearing this adorable jacket in the coming months rather than worrying about rebuilding my home. It's certainly changed my perspective.

Okay, and on to regular programing with last year's look. There's nothing like a good neutral look with a pop of color! Those flats need to be brought back out asap!

Thanks so much for linking up! There always is so much inspiration with your posts!

Boho Vibes with Green Dragon + Linkup

dress c/o green dragon // espadrilles (old, similar) // purse

It's hard to believe that Summer is coming to an end. I feel like I haven't squeezed in enough trips to the beach or checked off everything I've mentally put on my Summer list.  But the next best thing is a good outfit that makes you feel like you're ready to put your toes in the sand. Okay, it also makes me want to go on a tropical vacation. But let's focus on the dress. The print and light fabric make it great to just toss on and go. And if you know me, I always need my trusty jean jacket because 1. I'm always cold and 2. it completes any outfit.

Now let's flashback to last years look here. It's funny but this top still continues to be a big hit whenever I do wear it. Maybe it's less likely I will be dressed in a print...
Thank you for everyone who linked up last week! Jessica and I hope you'll join the fun this week! We really loved Kayla from Twenty Something Fashion and Amy Ann from Straight A Style!

Vacation Vibes + Linkup

Jacket // striped tee (under $10!) // skirt // espadrilles (old, just got these) // tote // hat (under $30) // aviators

Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself with this look, but I've got my big vacation to Costa Rica on my mind and I'm starting to dress for it. Actually, this might just be the best idea. I  have every intention of only packing a carry on and this just might help me figure out my tiny 5 day capsule wardrobe (I know it's ambitious). You know instead of scrambling hours before your trip to pack. If there's one thing I learned from the last time I went, it's make sure to pack a pair of jeans. Turns out it rained quite a bit and ended up buying expensive jeans that didn't fit. So far I've picked up these leather espadrilles, but know they will be great afterwards or before. Do you have anything you think I should pack?

Now, it's time to flashback to last year's look! It's all items that I would and have worn recently. Ehh hemm that jacket is on as I type. You can see the full post here.
Thank you for joining us last week! We hope you'll join this week!

Grey and Tan

Can I just point out that there are no prints in this outfit and this print lover is more than okay? Yeah, I'm actually obsessed with how great grey and tan look! And naturally I had to celebrate this new found discovery by going to brunch and eat yummy french toast. It's the right thing to do. Too bad I didn't get any pictures because someone forgot their phone. Guess I have to go back soon:) So besides taking some time to come terms with how I can be okay without wearing a print, I finally found the perfect suede skirt. Well, I actually went with faux suede. Here's the thing, I'm pescatarian and have these mix feelings about wearing clothes that are real leather and suede. Yes, those are suede shoes I'm wearing. Yes, I get that's weird I can wear shoes but not clothes. Anyway, I digress. If your on the hunt for a great suede skirt or faux, this skirt is perforated and ON SALE. I repeat it's ON SALE FOR UNDER $30! It's really a great looking option for the price, but just make sure to size down at least a size. The waist runs really big, which works well if you're a weekend bruncher like myself. #comfycute

Hope you had a nice weekend!

Pretending It's Fall

shirt dress (under $40) // jean jacket // crossbody (similar) // suede booties (run 1/2 size small)

There's this part of me that really wants to wear sweaters and cozy scarfs and sup on a nice hot chai and feel that crisp air, but I guess that memo hasn't been received by mother nature in LA. So what's a girl to do? She finds a cute dress in a pretty rust color because that's as close to Fall dressing as we are going to get. Okay, you also toss on a jean jacket for the fashion's sake and you pretend it's a nice 70 degees not 90ish. One day it'll happen. One day...

On another note, I've been testing out my Sapphire curing wand and used the pearl wand to get these curls. I have to say that if your looking to get more even shaped curls without that much effort that will do it. It's even better than the wand I used in this post. Well you know for those hair challenged.

Layering the Silver

First things first-how the heck is it June?! I guess it's time to bring out the sweets because it's my birthday month and I'm allowed to celebrate all month, riiight
Anyway, this blue maxi keeps proving itself as one of those pieces you can turn to time and again. To be honest, I have been reaching for it almost weekly mainly because it's awesome if you're trying to talk yourself into wearing a dress at 5 am and the winning factor that it still will keep you warm. My favorite part besides the color is that it's basically a blank canvas for endless accessorizing options. Dainty necklaces have been my jewelry of choice recently and layering three of my favorites together seemed like the perfect finish. I just discovered Helen Ficalora's jewelry and picked up that top necklace with the A. I guess you can say I'm fully embracing silver jewelry now and expect to see that A initial necklace a lot.

Hope you had a nice weekend! Anyone did anything fun?

Black Joggers

Jean jacket // Zara top old, similar // Black joggers // Vince espadrilles // Ray-ban Aviator  // Sole Society necklace // Bracelets: Haybands, Rocksbox (get a free month with code ADRILATELYXOXO )

You see these black joggers? Yep, these would be my new best friend. I've worn them 3 times in the first week of owning them! I think my favorite jeans are a little jealous right now. But these Mariner pants have elevated my work look and weekend look so clearly the ROI is high. Not only are they a great way to break out just wearing jeans all week long (yes, that's been happening over here), but oh-m-gee they are super comfy! Like yoga pants kinda comfy! Believe me when I say you want to wear these when you go out eating way more fried mac n' cheese than you should. Oh, yeah, I discovered fried mac n' cheese this weekend. Uh huh life is complete.

How was your weekend?
