New Vibes

Happy New Year! Did you guys make it till midnight? I have to say I did! When you have 80 year olds not batting an eye at the clock, you basically have to stay up. There's no excuse for me. Well, other than the fact that I'm really okay going to bed at 9-yesss, I just said that. But if the 80 year olds can, I can do it for one night.

Even though it's pretty cliche, the New Year always has me feeling refreshed and ready to make changes. Anyone else feeling the same? From decluttering to working out, it's on my list. Towards the end of the year, I stopped working out. Just STOPPED. Hmm I don't remember that being so jiggly. So before the year ended, I got myself back to yoga. Personally, fitness or yoga, is more about how I feel rather than focusing on the external but it cut down on the jiggle. While it's SO hard, I can tell how much better I feel. And I guess you can say this outfit is a result of decluttering. I'm the worst at letting go old clothes, but I now just want a full functioning wardrobe meaning lots of staples. That's definitely something that I can see spill over to the blog. Are you making any changes or taking on some new habits?

Grey and Tan

Can I just point out that there are no prints in this outfit and this print lover is more than okay? Yeah, I'm actually obsessed with how great grey and tan look! And naturally I had to celebrate this new found discovery by going to brunch and eat yummy french toast. It's the right thing to do. Too bad I didn't get any pictures because someone forgot their phone. Guess I have to go back soon:) So besides taking some time to come terms with how I can be okay without wearing a print, I finally found the perfect suede skirt. Well, I actually went with faux suede. Here's the thing, I'm pescatarian and have these mix feelings about wearing clothes that are real leather and suede. Yes, those are suede shoes I'm wearing. Yes, I get that's weird I can wear shoes but not clothes. Anyway, I digress. If your on the hunt for a great suede skirt or faux, this skirt is perforated and ON SALE. I repeat it's ON SALE FOR UNDER $30! It's really a great looking option for the price, but just make sure to size down at least a size. The waist runs really big, which works well if you're a weekend bruncher like myself. #comfycute

Hope you had a nice weekend!

New Routine

How was you weekend? I know I've been a little MIA around here, but it's been for good reason. I never really talk fitness around here and to be honest these were taken after eating a delicious grilled cheese with some lady friends, but I've committed myself to doing yoga for 40 days straight. While I'm not a gym goer, yoga is my jam (okay, it's just my exercise of choice). But between working full time an hour from home and early mornings I really put yoga at the back burner. After work and a long drive home, home just sounds a-m-a-z-i-n-g. So when I started to hear about people's things for Lent, I jumped on it-40 days of yoga here I come! As I type, it's day 12 and the past two have been tough mentally. I've been soar just about everrrry day. My hope is not just to challenge myself in completing the 40 days, but to make excising a serious constant in my life. Oh, and if I look a little firmer physically I won't be mad about it.

P.s. Anyone else super addicted to TJ Maxx lately? I always find the cutest tops like this one!

Grey Jeans

I don' know what it is lately. I just can't seem to get enough, but grey is something that I just keep being drawn to. Not so good for everyone getting a gift from me this year. But since I've been on the hunt for jeans and the second I saw these grey pair at Zara, I knew it was meant to be. Mixed in with my favorite top (last seen here and here), purse, and heels, it's a nice change from my blue jeans.

P.s. If you are looking for a bag that's big enough to fit your DSLR and more without the bulk, this purse is perfect!

Basically Casual

After a festive month, I've had a renewed love for the basics in my closet. Don't get me wrong I loved getting dressed up and wearing as much sequins as I possibly could! But with things returning back to well normal (hence the trashcans in the background), it's nice to wear my favorite jeans and tee. A great tee and pair of jeans really is a great foundation to build an outfit up with accessories. Since I was just running errands and taking in the trash, fun flats and some sparkle was just right.

Outfit Deets:
Tee: Urban
Jeans: Blanc Jeans
Flats: Chinese Laundry via Modcloth (similar)
Necklace: Le Mode

Craving Lately: Grey

Grey sweaters, dresses, pants, and anything in between-I'll take one of each! My full on addiction to grey has completely taken over. During the warmer months, it was just a simple grey tee that I couldn't stop wearing and still can't. But now it's blown over in to an addiction that could potentially be taking over my closet. Well, at least I can justify my craving knowing I will be wearing these pieces for years to come, right? Right!
