Olive Swing Dress + Linkup

dress c/o Route 32 // moto jacket (so obsessed!) // hat (new addition) // purse

Did someone just press the gas peddle on December? There's so much going on. If I list it out, I think I might scare myself. But tis' the season for lots of things, right? Even though it's very eventful right now, I have been filling my closet with essential pieces like this faux suede moto jacket (seen here) and this olive swing dress (under $20). It makes it so easy to get out the door. And can we talk about how this dress hides all the food babies? Oh, yes! I type this after eating a donut for dinner. #adulting

Now, let's flashback to last year's look here. I still love all these pieces! I might just repeat this look tonight for a goodbye dinner. It's on a rooftop, so need a warm outfit.
Thank you for linking up with Jessica and I! We truly look forward to seeing your posts and connecting with you! Our picks are Kristina from Kristina Does the Internets and Konstantina from K Meets Style!

A Good Necklace

grey dress (local boutique) // pendent necklace c/o Happiness Boutique // lace up flats

One of the main reasons I picked up this dress is because I can have endless options of styling it. Oh, and it's one of those dresses that hide any food baby's. What can I say-I look forward to a good brunch on the weekend! But when I got this pretty necklace I knew this dress would go perfectly with it! I had never shopped with Happiness Boutique before and being that the price is under $20 on this necklace my expectation was not too high. Then it came and wowed me! My mom saw it on me and basically took it off my neck. Anyway, I wore this look to dinner at my best friend's for a little girl time. She just got engaged and guess who's going to be maid-of-honor? ME! You don't even know how excited I am! We grew up together since we were 5 and am beyond happy for her! But if someone has any tips to being a maid-of-honor send them my way. #IdontknowwhatIamdoing

Dress Girl

If there's one thing I can never pass up, it's dresses. Whether it's a formal occasion or not, my go-to is a good dress. So with plans to go wine tasting the past weekend, it gave me a good reason to pick this paisley dress up. But unfortunately my friend came down with the stomach flu and that trip got canceled real fast. Not going to lie, I was and still am a bit bummed. I really really love heading to wine country! But hey I still got this dress and it has pockets guys! #easilydistracted Now, let's talk about these booties because they are my current favorite booties. They come in several colors but the taupe and navy were restocked a few weeks back. I passed them up earlier, but really regretted it. Restocking rarely happens at Sole Society and when it does it can take months....MONTHS without those amazing shoes you CAN NOT stop thinking about! As far as sizing goes, I really would do a half size up, but they are a great pair that go with everything. I've been wearing them non-stop!

How was your weekend?

Flashback Fashion Friday's Linkup #5

If you know me, then you know how much I looovvve a good print! It's summer and let's be real how sticky things can get. So the second I saw this blue printed dress, I knew I had to at least try it on. It was the last one and clearly it was meant for me. I've worn it 3 times in the past week. It's like your not wearing anything and that's perfectly fine by me. And if you can't tell but I'm obsessed with wide brim hats and my cognac tote. They just go with everything, if you ask me.

And because it's Friday, it's time to take a look at last year's look, which included a floral printed romper. I seriously forgot about that romper and now I need to pull it out. You can see the full post here. We were visiting Tucson for a spontaneous wedding. Can't believe that was a year ago!
Now it's your turn to join Jessica and I in the linkup! We can't thank you enough for linking up with each week!

Almost All Black

The first words out of my friend's mouth the second she saw me was 'Wow, I've never seen you wear all black!' But in my fashion eyes I'm not wearing all black. Not that there is anything wrong with wearing all black. There's just this little part of me that tries not to reach for all black. I used to think it was just too easy and lacked any thought. But breaking up an all black look is so easy to do with fun accessories. This dress is from last year and I've worn it so many times, but this black dress is pretty similar and under $20!

Hope you're having a great week so far!

Wedding Guest Dress

Well this pretty shift dress has been sitting patiently for me to wear and honestly had no intention of wearing it to a wedding. I mean I had no upcoming weddings to attend and I'm not big on crashing weddings. But all of a sudden last minute an invite dropped in my hands for some special friends for their wedding the next day. These love birds just couldn't wait a minute longer and just like that we made the 8 hour drive for this one of a kind wedding. Truly a magical experience!

Hope you had a great weekend! xo
