OTK Boots

All I can say is I'm so happy it's Friday! Who's with me? And the second I hear rain is in the forecast I'm at a loss for what to wear except these OTK boots are my saving grace. Again, I am planning around shoes. I really think I just might be a shoe lover. Since it might rain more, you can find me in my boots safely inside or maybe doing some shoe shopping. Just a little tip-Macy's is having a sale right now where they give you 25% off purchases of $100. Hellooo, more shoes! Or clothes or whatever. But these and these have my eye. You know where I'll really be;)

So I had this brilliant idea to be productive during my lunch break and edit these pictures. Sounds like a good idea. Just go to Panera and take advantage of that wifi, riiight? WRONG! Not unless you like creepers looking at your screen. I mean it's just an awkward situation all together. One you look pretty self absorbed and two it draws eyes like bees to honey. Then just accidentally make eye contact with one of them. Yeaaah. AWKWARD!

Now for some fun stuff. I'm co-hosting a link up with the fabulous Lauren of Style Elixir, Undergraduate Style, and Afternoon Espresso. Hope you'll come join and meet some new friends!

Craving Lately: Tribal Skirts

1, 2, 3
Call it Spring fever but all I want to do is bare my legs in one of these tribal statement skirts! Perfect timing since LA is now pouring with much needed rain. While my bare legs can wait, this girl is just going to start planning outfits in the meantime. Since the skirt is the star of the outfit, a simple tee or trusty chambray will always pair well. I've really been eyeing number 2. Spot a fave?

Hope you're enjoying your week!

Spend//Save: Black Peep-Toe Booties

So some of you might be thinking the spend is pretty reasonable and I get that it is (umm bonus!). I looove Steven Madden! But I have to say that after seeing and buying the Forever 21 pair, I really can't complain about saving a little money. The save is a great option that will be worn plenty this Spring.
What pair would you pick up?

Casually Me

If I could sum up my style in one outfit, this would be it. Plaid, grey tee, leather, and a little bling and I'm ready to go. Oh and my favorite flats that have my full endorsement if you can't tell by now. The best part is when the bf is totally a fan of it too. I'm thinking I should just make this my permanent uniform....okay that's probably is taking it too far.

Thanks so much for reading! Have an awesome day! xo

Getting Shifty

Hope you had a great weekend! Do anything fun? I'll be honest mine went a little too fast and not too much was done (ahem laundry fairy godmother help!). And well I'm being honest this dress (last seen here) is thee prefect dress when you are going to a brunch buffet. There was a major food baby happening. I'm not sure if this is a good discovery or not. But self control in a shift dress is out the window.

On a side note, these flats are easily my favorite. I can't find them online, but don't walk. Run to Forever and pick up a pair. I can't tell you the last time I got sooo many compliments on flats. And not just for the sake of compliments, these are comfortable and easy on the wallet.

Happy Monday!

Transition Your Wardrobe For Spring

Let's face it, it's that time in the year that we are tired of being bundled up and just ready for some bare legs and sunshine! But it can be a little interesting trying to dress for that in between Winter not yet Spring weather, so I teamed up with Lauren from Fizz & Frosting to show you some looks to transition into Spring. Make sure to stop over at Lauren's to see her tips on transitioning. We also have a fun link up for you to join!

One of all time favorite trends for Spring is florals! I know that's not new, but an updated style to showcase florals is what makes the difference. By picking up one piece in a floral, it can easily be incorporated now. Since I have been craving a jogger pant (as seen here), I picked it up in this loud and monochromatic floral with a hint of neon which gives me a little taste of Spring.

Don't forget to stop by Fizz & Frosting! Hope you're join our link up party too!

Craving Lately: Periwinkle

1, 2, 3, 4
Lately I've been seeing this shade of blue popping up more and more. It's not quite baby blue but is more of a periwinkle. The soft shade is just so pretty and has me craving Spring more and more. Anyone else a fan?

Happy Hump Day!

Neutral Ground

Have you ever been in line at the mall and it's sooo looong that you keep eyeing the things nearby but don't want to get out of line? But those shoes over there. That shirt over there. Oh! No, just stay.in.line. Well that's exactly how these shoes came to be. I was in line with my flats from yesterday and they were those shoes tempting me to get out of line. Basically, I did the line twice and I'm confirming that I love shoes. And for those of you high heeled challenged, these are actually doable. Perhaps it's the chunky heel.

Thanks so much for reading! xo

Black & Blue

Well, well it's Monday. You sure did come too soon. Hopefully, many of you are enjoying the holiday. This weekend was a busy one for me and wish I had a weekend after the weekend for a little R&R. If you follow along my Instagram, you may have seen that I attended The School Of Style's  two day seminar and more importantly my love for these black flats(my new shoe BFF). This was my outfit for the first day and of course came together after outfit A, B, and possibly C didn't work out. I just really wanted to wear these shoes if we're being honest. I'm not the only one who bases their outfits around shoes, riiight?

And I can't even tell you how much I learned about the styling business this weekend! My head is exploding in a very good way. But if you're interested in learning about styling I highly recommend checking out The School of Style. There really isn't anything like it!

Cheers to a new week!

Love Talk

I'm not going to lie, but Valentine's seems a little silly. I think girls like it more. Okay, a lot more! I mean let's face it, guys aren't really too fond of red, pink, and hearts. But I do know that I have that cute guy up there who has been making my heart smile today and all year long and for the past five years. For that, I find myself a lucky lady. Truly, that's what today is about-appreciating those people we love.

Happy Valentine's to YOU!

Team Valentine's

Well it's just a day away from Valentine's Day and what kind of blogger would I be if I didn't show you my take on it?! The truth is I just got bit by the love bug like yesterday. One trip to Target and all I wanted was pink, hot pink, light pink, and red. I dug through my closet and came out with this slightly sporty meets girly look. The great part is I would totally wear this again.

Anyone have any fun plans? My other half and I technically celebrated with our wine tasting trip, but we have our wine bottle from it that will be great at home possibly watching a girly movie on the couch. Either way we will be avoiding any restaurants. Nothings more intimate than sitting so close to the next table you might as well include them in your conversation.

Hope you're having a great week!

Wine Tasting Highlights

Obviously, I'm still thinking about my wine tasting adventures and for very good reasons (you see those cupcakes up there. yeah.). Hope you don't mind, but I didn't have time to share it all yesterday. So I wanted to highlight some of my favorite places in Los Olivos, which is about 30 minutes north of Santa Barbara. Think countryside, rolling hills that you just can't believe you're not looking at a painting. The drive alone is so worth it! But let's talk wine and cupcakes and truffles! For sometime, I've been a huge fan of Sarloos & Son's and their cupcake pairing from Enjoy. Those cupcakes are unreal and you can find her on Instagram if you can handle all the goodness. So clearly I like my sweets and then we discovered a new favorite, Rufugio Ranch. This tasting room has a pairing with the most unique and tasty chocolate truffles! One had passionfruit, another curry, and chai! I can't even tell you how well they tasted with the wines. The people were also so informative and welcoming that we came back a second time. Yes, you bet we did that truffle pairing twice! And as you can see from the bottom right picture, picking out a favorite from Rufugio to take home was really tough;)

Happy Hump Day!
