Casual Stripes + Linkup

Vest // Stripe top c/o Route 32 // jeans // espadrilles // purse // aviators

Happy Friday! This week I'm staying put and really looking forward to that. With last weeks whirlwind work trip, I've had little time to put much thought into my outfits or do laundry. BUT one of my favorite boutiques sent over the cutest basics like this stripe top. How can you not say no to the elbow patches? It's been on repeat! I wore it to the airport last week and maybe a couple times more. Route 32 is a great shop where the prices are so good! Deborah, the owner, is offering 20% off regular priced items with code: ADRI32 (that will go a long way!) Get ready to see more from them next week!

Now, let's flashback to last year's look here. This dress certainly is one of my go-to's. It's easy and can be paired so many ways. I actually just wore it with this jacket and these booties over the weekend.

Thank you linking up! Whether it's your first or been every week, we love looking at your outfits and posts! We hope you continue to linkup! We loved Pam from It's Pam Del and Sophia from Pucker Up Style

Fall Neutrals + Linkup

jacket (on sale!) // tank // jeans // espadrilles // choker c/o Happiness Boutique // purse

Happy Friday! Definitely wish I could say my weekend starts today, but I'm headed to Utah today for work. Not going to lie, but I get a major adrenaline rush when I hear travel opportunities. It's a quick trip, but I'm excited to visit a new state and maybe experience Fall weather. Because LA is back in the 90's again and basically carrying around a jacket hoping it'll cool down. However, I love me some really good neutrals all at once. And gave me the chance to try out the choker trend. This one is a long cord, so you can wrap around tons of ways. It's from the Happiness Boutique, which is a cute accessory shop that's super affordable. You can use code ADRILATELY for 10% off. I also picked up this necklace for a great everyday piece.

Now, let's flashback to last year's look here. I have to say this dress is still a favorite! Oh, and those booties are the best! Probably taking them to Utah because they are so comfy, but give you a little height.
Thank you for linking up with Jessica and I! We get so much inspiration by all your outfits! This week we are featuring Red Reticule and Riva from Riva la Diva

Zaful Lace-Up Sweater + Linkup

Sometimes it seems so silly to buy sweaters in LA. The chances of Fall weather happening when it's suppose to is very rare. But when the sweater is calling your name you turn a blind eye for the sake of fashion. This cute lace-up sweater is under $21 and how can you say no to that?! It is one size and do have to say that it would only fit someone who normally wears a small. But the quality is on point for the price! It's my first time shopping with Zaful and know it's not the last.

Now let's flashback to last year's look here. Yup, that's the same purse. It's faux leather, but has held up like it's real leather.

Thank you for linking up with us! We love getting inspired by all your outfits and posts! This week we are picks are Sheree from Posh Classy Mom and Amy Ann from Straight A Style!

Neutral Halloween Decor with Grandin Road

When you think Halloween, I'm sure you think black and orange. But that doesn't have to be the case any more. Sure, these are not over the top in your face Halloween decorations. I just think neutral decorations represent my style way more. Plus, if you are like me and take f-o-r-e-v-e-r to take them down then a neutral color scheme will buy you more time. The second I saw these white ceramic pumpkin set from Grandin Road, I knew it would be great. So here are some tips for putting your decorations together:

1. Pick a color scheme // regardless of being neutral or not, having a color scheme will make you buying decorations easy.

2. Take inventory of what you have // let's face it-it's been a whole year since you last saw your decorations. See what you already have so you don't repeat or over buy.

3. Mix in seasonal items // who says you have to find it in the holiday section? Mix in trays, bowls, or anything that fits your color scheme. It gives a personal flare.

Grandin Road just opened their first retail experience, if youre in NYC before Halloween definitely check it out, and if you can't make it see you can still experience it here.

Do you decorate for Halloween?

Stripes & Culottes + Linkup

stripe tee (this would be even cuter!)// jeans // sandals // aviators

Remember when I said I was a culotte convert? Well I think they just upped my casual weekend/lazy chic office wear. Bonus points for being really comfortable, too! It's perfect for those days you know you shouldn't wear a t-shirt and jeans again. The cut of these give off the 'hey I actually tried today.' But inside you really are pulling a fast one. Do you have a favorite cut of jeans that looks like you're trying?

Also, you need to stop mid post and head here. My favorite Soludos espadrilles are on sale! I've basically worn them everyday since I got them and can attest they are worth it, but hey what person doesn't love to save.

Time to flashback to last year's look here. This dress and shoes are still a favorite!

Thank you again for linking up with Jessica and I! We love seeing all your stylish looks! Our picks from last week are Pam from It's Pam Del and Kate from The Student's Wife!

3 Drugstore Green Beauty Buys

The truth is that some very heavy stuff in my life has been going on to really waken my eyes to what products I'm using especially in the beauty department. Let me say it's daunting to learn about all the chemicals that are allowed to be put in makeup, nail polish, and perfume. It's also overwhelming to try to find beloved replacements or new clean beauty lines that you've never heard of to replace what you've come to love. Let me tell ya' I am not one to test out too many beauty products or change up my face. I roughly have 5 tried and true products in my makeup bag that have been with me for a decade. So after being sad and confused about what's safe and what actually works, I found a few lines at local drugstores that got me started in cleaning up my makeup bag.

1. Defy & Inspire Nail Polish - it's a line by the people who have it all-Target. They formulated it to be free the common 5 toxic ingredients and have names that are after your favorite T.V shows. I picked up Dynasty, a pinkish nude, that is reminiscent of Essie's Ballet Slippers or Barefoot and Topless.

2. Burt's Bee - I think we've all heard of them for skincare, but the line has been expanding more and more with makeup. I've been hooked on their face wipes for sometime-super soft by the way. But found them to have great nude lipsticks that live up to my Mac and Nars go-to, only these are safer. Blush Basin and Suede Splash are the two I picked up.

3. Pacifica - you'll find the line conveniently at most Targets, but healthier markets like Whole Foods and Spouts carry it too. It ranges from makeup, skincare, and perfume. And if you're a package junkie, it doesn't disappoint! One thing I knew I wanted a replacement for immediately was my perfume. Lots of chemicals go into making perfumes and one big red flag that has been noted is seeing anything that says fragrance you put down. The line has several roller ball perfumes that are around $12, so doesn't break the bank even to try. Tahitian Gardenia is a combination of Gardenia and Jasmine-totally up my alley!

My goal is definitely not to bring fear, but awareness. Just like what we put in our bodies, what we put on it can affect our health. I'm still learning about what makes a line green and ingredients to avoid, but plan on sharing more as I go. If you have any favorite green beauty lines you love, please share them.
