Holiday Red + Linkup

If you've been reading sometime, you might know that you rarely see color in my outfits. And that couldn't be more true when it comes to any shade of red. Don't get me wrong--red is a really pretty color and well synonymous with the holidays. I just happen not to feel myself in it. I'm sure you have a color that you love on others but can't seem to make it work. But I've learned not to give up on those colors. It's about finding a shade that compliments your skin (for me that's deeper reds). Then, it's about the style. I'm a huge fan of lace! When I saw this top, I went for it. It was a happy medium of my style and still going out of my comfort zone. Naturally, styling this crimson top with my neutrals was a no-brainer.

Now, let's flashback to last year's outfit here. I still can't over those pretty leaves. But anyway, all these pieces are still in my closet. This look came together after I decided to book a 24 hour trip to San Francisco. If there's ever a time to rely on basics, it's when you have to pack lightly.

Thanks so much for linking up with us today and all year! It's hard to believe that this will be the last one this year, but we'll be back in 2017. We loved Karen from Lady in Violet and Rachael from Threads for Thomas looks!

Olive Swing Dress + Linkup

dress c/o Route 32 // moto jacket (so obsessed!) // hat (new addition) // purse

Did someone just press the gas peddle on December? There's so much going on. If I list it out, I think I might scare myself. But tis' the season for lots of things, right? Even though it's very eventful right now, I have been filling my closet with essential pieces like this faux suede moto jacket (seen here) and this olive swing dress (under $20). It makes it so easy to get out the door. And can we talk about how this dress hides all the food babies? Oh, yes! I type this after eating a donut for dinner. #adulting

Now, let's flashback to last year's look here. I still love all these pieces! I might just repeat this look tonight for a goodbye dinner. It's on a rooftop, so need a warm outfit.
Thank you for linking up with Jessica and I! We truly look forward to seeing your posts and connecting with you! Our picks are Kristina from Kristina Does the Internets and Konstantina from K Meets Style!

Happiest In Grey + Linkup

jacket (tan here) // top (via TJ Maxx) // jeans // flats // purse // hat

My grey game (or obsession) is still going strong. About half of these grey pieces are from last year and half are new buys. The best part is that they go together like a perfect piece to my outfit puzzle. When you keep adding neutrals to your closet, you really can reap the rewards season after season. This would be great running around on the weekends or wine tasting. Yes, this was my wine tasting outfit. You won't regret wearing a dark top (aka hides spilled wine).

Thanks for linking up! our picks are Sheree from Posh Classy Mom and Ashley from Le Stylo Rouge!

Denim Tuxedo

top // jeans // sandals (similar) // purse // hat (similar - i got the black) // aviators // bracelets c/o pura vida

Denim is one of those essentials that you can never have enough. Finding more and more unique denim pieces is definitely my jam right now. When I spotted these cropped ripped jeans, it gave me the feels. But told myself to wait till they went on sale. You bet the sale gods were listening and made it happen! Not going to lie, they are much higher waisted than I normally wear. I'm thinking I would have picked up these one's instead which are an inch lower (short torso problems). But the higher the waist the better, right?! And these are not the pants to wear when you want to eat a lot-lol!

Is anyone already shopping for the holidays? Crazy how we are technically in the holiday season. I' mean 'hello Starbucks red cups' are here. Well, except at my Starbucks for some reason. This year I've been looking for brands that give back for gifts. These friendship bracelets (wearing this and this) are so cute and come in tons of colors and Pura Vida gives back to local Costa Rican artisans with every purchase. Wouldn't they be a nice stocking stuffers? Hopefully, my girlfriends aren't reading this;)

Thank you for linking up! This week our picks are Yana from A Handful of Stories and from Konstantina from K Meets Style!

10 Fall Hats Under $60

hat (old) // bracelets c/o Pura Vida

Oh, Fall how I love you! Mainly, it's for the layering and all the amazing accessories. You bet I'm a hat girl. Let's face it-you can get an extra dirty hair day in when dry shampoo won't do. Last year, I really came into scooping up a good hat (pictured above). It definitely takes a lot of scouting, but when you find one and on budget it's like finding that extra $20 in your pocket. I recently picked up this one and found a bunch of other one's that have the perfect shape, brim size, and budget-friendly.

Forward + Linkup

Over and over I kept wondering how to handle this weeks election. Nothing but silence. From what you see here on this blog and social (if you follow there), politics don't seem to fit into anything I present. And I rarely have something shock me to the core where I feel utterly numb. There was nothing to post or could I bring myself to fake things (no one wants that). Everyone around me is numb and under this great fog. I'm not trying to pick sides or contribute more fuel to the fire. Because the reality is this is where we are. Change is hard regardless if you want this or not.  It shouldn't be about division any more. Truly, hope for peace and kindness towards one another.

Thank you so much for listening and letting me say what's on my heart without judgement!

Even though I feel a little stuck, moving forward is the only option. So thank you for linking up. We loved Sarah from Trendy and Tidy and Roxanne from Glass of Glam

Fall Neutrals + Linkup

jacket // dress c/o Route 32 // booties // purse // hat (similar, similar)

By now, I'm sure you're wondering if I have any other jackets. And as I type this post in this very jacket, I'll let you know I do. However, every season I make sure to buy a moto jacket that can be worn an unlimited amount. Best $100 bucks I've spent this season. So when I got this really cute LBD, there was no doubt it was going to meet this jacket. The criss-cross detail is what gives this LBD a nice update and takes away the need to wear a necklace. I've mentioned how great the pieces are from Route 32 here and here. Well, this dress is no exception. How can you beat this little number being just $33? If you love supporting small business', you'll be happy to know Route 32 is run by a sweet mama to one and love that she's doing her thing! You can also save 20% on full priced items with code: ADRI32

Let's flashback to last year's look here. Okay, I just have to laugh at the same hat and booties in last year's look being the same as this year. All I can say is great staple accessories can go a long way.

Thank you so much for linking up! Our featured looks are Roxanne from Glass of Glam and Alina from Alina Ermilova!

My Secret Tip To Saving Online

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are my own.

It's true I was born to shop. I can remember from being a young girl always knowing what I wanted to wear despite my mothers input. The only thing that's changed is who's paying for my shopping. Seeing how your bank account does go down pretty quickly during those shopping sprees can take the fun out of shopping. You know those adult things like budgets and bills get in the way. But over the year's I've come to discover there are ways to save and still eat your cake (clothes or shoes in my case) too. We're all familiar with Groupon for their incredible deals, but did you know they have a section with coupons? Major game changer I tell ya! It's actually has more retailers then you would think. There's coupons there for you every day. You read that right-a sale everyday. From Steve Madden to Banana Republic, there's something for everyone's style. Once you realize how easy it is to check for coupons, you'll never pay full price. I'm not sure I can go back to paying full price for anything again.

Have you tried using Groupon Coupons? Do you have any tips for saving when you shop online?
