San Francisco // 3 Spots to Try

If you are wondering if you're reading the right blog, I assure you that you are. If you follow me on Snapchat (username: AdriLately), you probably aren't too surprised I'm talking about food or drinks. Just as much as I live for shopping, I love trying new places to eat (that includes a good cocktail) and traveling. I've gone on a handful of trips this year and haven't shared what to eat or drink (that's selfish as a blogger, riiight?) One place that was practically a second home to me during my early college years was San Francisco. Now, I still keep going back and trying new spots because you can't taste it all and honestly there's so many great restaurants in that amazingly cold city. Side note: I can't handle weather below 70 degrees. But I will endure it for a trip to San Francisco.

COQUETA // Let me just say that coqueta means flirty girl in Spanish. I had no clue because my Spanish is subpar. It's exactly that. Flavors just flirting with your tastebuds in the best way. It is Spanish and tapas style, so be prepared to order several dishes. It's located right along the water near the Bay Bridge. Definitely a good spot for a special meal. You'll want to make reservations or else you might get lucky with a seat at the bar.

LEO'S OYSTER BAR // If you can't appreciate an Instagram worthy spot, then just get past the picture perfect decor and order a drink. But let's be real-I wanted to take all those mirrors home. We didn't actually have oysters because we had been eating all.day.long. and we had zero reservations. This place is tiny, so make the reservations if you want to be sure about having a meal here. As an avid lover of cocktails, you need to come here. The attention to detail will be tasted. Just order the Garden Cocktail.

LOLO // Your first thought when you hear Mexican food is filling. But this quirky spot in the Mission District was just the right way to start our eating binge. These were fish tacos on thin jicama slices. It's a taco I won't forget. The crunch from the fish and the refreshing jicama makes me want to go back right now. Oh, and you won't be disappointed by the margaritas.

Have you been to San Francisco? Let me know if you have a favorite spot I should add to the list.

Transitioning into Fall

madewell top (sold out, similar) // jeans // sandals // purse // sunglasses

What the what? Fall is around the corner. Let me just say that was so hard to type. I have this strong love for Summer and perfect days or nights at the beach and hello ice cream! But one thing that won't stop is white jeans. White jeans in the Fall is part of me just holding on to Summer and part of me finding more neutral combinations. Yesss, I'm looking at you navy and brown. It's an easy way to start mixing in those darker hues. And thanks Jessica for taking these pictures. We had a blogger date a few weeks back that included matcha and a trip to Madewell. #typicalbloggers

Now let's flashback to last year's look here. I was just thinking about this dress. The print and the pleats make me one happy girl!
Thanks so much for joining us for the linkup! There we so many great outfits. We really loved Emily from She Does and Marta from Sweaters, Stripes & Sweets!

In Love With M

stripe top (size xs) option for under $10 // bralette // skirt (old, similar) // espadrilles // tote

If you haven't noticed yet I've been on a huge Madewell kick. I know, I know. I'm like years behind on this one. It's funny because I think it's that I actually prefer shopping them online verse in store. But every time they have a sale I have a shopping wishlist that I'm ready to bounce on. This top (talked about here) was an additional 40% off and got it for under $25. Basically, it was near to nothing. It sold out on their site, but you can find some sizes available here. They are having another sale guys and I've been eying these cute shorts, this jacket, and this denim dress. Someone.stop.me. Did I mention that I just got another order from them yesterday? #obsessedalot

Now that you know my obsession, we can flashback to last year's look here. This is one of those dresses I bought on a whim and ended up being a dress that I put on when I want some compliments. Does anyone else do that? Because we all those days we could use a boost;)

Thank you SO much for linking up with us! There were so many amazing outfits. Our two favorites were Alice from TYPENU and Alicia from Between the Pearls.

10 Lace Up Tops

Lace up flats? Oh, yes. Lace up sandals? Gimme! But for some reason I resisted hard on lace up tops. And really who was I kidding myself trying to resist?! After ordering this striped one (mostly on a sale whim and you know stripes), I'm like just fill up my closet with all of them. My best tip to wearing them is pairing them with a cute bralette for a little peek.  I can't say enough about this bralette! I've rounded up a bunch of lace up tops that I may or may have not already ordered.

Boho Vibes with Green Dragon + Linkup

dress c/o green dragon // espadrilles (old, similar) // purse

It's hard to believe that Summer is coming to an end. I feel like I haven't squeezed in enough trips to the beach or checked off everything I've mentally put on my Summer list.  But the next best thing is a good outfit that makes you feel like you're ready to put your toes in the sand. Okay, it also makes me want to go on a tropical vacation. But let's focus on the dress. The print and light fabric make it great to just toss on and go. And if you know me, I always need my trusty jean jacket because 1. I'm always cold and 2. it completes any outfit.

Now let's flashback to last years look here. It's funny but this top still continues to be a big hit whenever I do wear it. Maybe it's less likely I will be dressed in a print...
Thank you for everyone who linked up last week! Jessica and I hope you'll join the fun this week! We really loved Kayla from Twenty Something Fashion and Amy Ann from Straight A Style!

Chambray Dress + Linkup

dress // sandals (half size big) // necklace

When you find out one of your favorite online shops is reopening, you immediately start shopping. Because let me say that it was pretty heartbreaking to find out they were closing. I'll forgive you Ruche for playing with my heart strings-you came through by having this really cute chambray dress.  If you haven't heard of them, you'll love their Anthro vibe without the Anthro prices. Ruche was founded by a woman who had a hobby that turned into her full time business. They recently just recovered from permanently closing and really am rooting for her and her dream.

Now, let's flashback to last year's look here. Well funny enough, it's from Ruche's sister company that my dress is from. Both were closing and are now staying open. So go check both of them out. Threadsence is more boho, Free People vibes.
Thank you again to each of you who linkup with us! Our picks for this week are Alison from Get Your Pretty On and Rachael from Threads for Thomas! Make sure you join because you could be next weeks feature!

Spotlight // UncommonGoods

As I have began to simplify my wardrobe to more neutrals and staples that go together with ease, that has left me to want to do the same with my accessories and jewelry pieces. I want unique pieces that will standout, but have a classic element. After discovering UncommonGoods, it was clear I was in the right place. It was better than I could have hoped because it supports small designers, pays their employees well, and as a privately owned business are able to support great causes. Really, it's shopping you can feel good about! Plus, who doesn't love finding unique pieces?
After coming across this v-shaped necklace, I knew I found the piece! It was something that I could wear everyday on it's own or layered with other necklaces. When it came in the mail, it was packaged so well and came with a card that highlighted the designer, Waffles and Honey. Isn't that such a cute name? It really felt like I was supporting the designer and the possibility to shop small online.

Make sure to visit UnCommoGoods for more amazing necklaces or gifts!
