Summer Dressing + Linkup

You know that feeling that you get right as winter is ending, the one where all you want is cute dresses and tops because it will be hot real soon? Two months is real soon #liesyoutellyourself Yeah, that was me a few months ago and I got ahead of the weather scooping up summer dresses and tops left and right. And yes I live in LA, so it's not that cold unless you are me. I can't handle bare legs if it's under 75 degrees. Total weather whimp here. AND that itch was finally scratched last weekend. It was 90 degrees and this dress was perfect. When I did pick up this dress from Francesca's, I was surprised by all the cute things they have. It's been awhile I've popped in there. Since this dress is soldout, I have some great options below all under $50!

Now, let's flashback to last year here. It was for a little trip to San Francisco and guess who was talking about being cold. Sometimes it surprises me I can handle the windchill there! Also, I miss those booties that I wear till their death.

There were so many amazing outfits and posts last week! Our picks are Kristina from Kristina Does the Internets and Brittany from Kingdom of Sequins. Show them some love! But don't forget to linkup for a chance to be featured!

Floral Off-the-Shoulder Top + Linkup

floral top // jeans // purse // espadrilles (get 1/2 up) // hat (similar) // sunglasses (great dupes!)

Happy Friday everyone! I have to say I feel like I cheated to get here. My staycation ended Wednesday, so it's been a 2 day work week. Anyway, we headed up to Santa Barbara County with some good friends from Arizona. They love cooking (no complaints here) so we found this incredible luxury yurt that had the most unreal views and a nice kitchen. Let's just say I underestimated the weather being that high up. This summery top only saw the light of day on the drive up. Basically, I wore 10 percent of what I packed. I guess all my other cute summery outfits will have to wait a little. On the plus side, I have little laundry to do-LOL.

Now are you ready for my flashback look? Looks like not much as changed from year-to-year! Still loving blue and white AND off-the-shoulder tops! The best part is this color palette doesn't go out of style. That's something I try to keep in mind when I buy things now.

Thank you to everyone who linked up with us last week! We hope you join in again! Our picks are Joi from In My Joi and Brittany from Kingdom of Sequins!

Only the Essentials + Linkup

Jacket (i live in it!) // linen tee c/c Garnet Hill // Jeans // Espadrilles // Hat (similar and have it!)

Happy Friday! I definitely had to fight my way through the week to get here (hello stomach bug or migraine. maybe both?), but I made it! Better yet I officially am not going to work till next Thursday. I'll be spending a lot in Santa Barbara and wine country in two separate trips. One is totally last minute, which truly get's me so excited. Either way, you can see it on my Insta Stories

But no matter where I go, work or wine tasting, I'm all about being comfortable and that tends to be in easy basics. Lucky for me, this weekend casual look, is office appropriate. One thing I feel like I have a hard time finding are tees. They're so simple, but finding one's you wear on repeat is not an easy task. It's rare for me to want a fitted piece and that's no different with tees. When this linen tee arrived, it was everything I look for. It's a little oversized, but not too much. It has a nice weight, so that it hangs just right. Even though it's linen blend, it doesn't wrinkle which is a huge plus.

But now let's flashback to last year's look (or close to it)! Blush and grey is another great mix of neutrals. To me it will always feel like the best Spring neutral color combination.

Thank you to everyone who linked up! We hope you will continue to linkup this week! Our picks are Tif from Bright on a Budget and Chichi from The Style Tune!
