Craving Lately: The Statement Jogger

1, 2, 3, 4, 5

I don't know about you but usually when I hear the word jogger I steer clear. But this time jogger means comfort and stylish nothing to do with exercise. Sign me up! The bold prints and loose fit make this a trendy pant that wouldn't be a bad idea for overindulgent meals. Pair it with a simple top and moto jacket or a graphic tee and your set! I have my eye on 2 and 4. Is this a trend you'd try?

Happy Fri-Yay! Hope you have great weekend!

Adore Me Review

Alright, so I have to say that one of the last things I think about let alone shop for is underwear. It's honestly up there on the list right under visiting the dentist (a little dramatic, I know). Being that my ladies are on the smaller side, it's extremely hard to find a bra in my size and that I actually like. Yes, I get they are small but no I don't want to feel like they are stuffed with socks. Seriously, what's up with the craaazy padding? So when I was approached by Adore Me to try one of their sets, I was curious and skeptical. Have you heard of Adore Me? Adore Me is a membership-based e-commerce site with special prices offered to VIP members, but also offers a Pay-As-You-Go service for customers who don't want to commit. Their head designer is a former designer for Victoria's Secret and definitely brings some great designs in plenty of sizes. I picked up the Kadi Push Up, which was completely different from my boring usual nude everyday bras. Not only did it come packaged in a gift box, but the quality was great and the bra fit. You guys it fit! I might have even text my friend to tell her the good news. Best part-no crazy padding! There really isn't anything better than a good fitting bra! Am I right ladies? My ladies said yes:)

Thanks so much for reading!

Adore Me provided me with this set for the purpose of this review.  My views and opinions are my own.

Shorts In January

Let's face it my good hair streak came to halt. It is Wednesday. But that's what fancy earrings are for! They disguise that messy ponytail and give me a reason to pull out my favorite earrings. And while I've been soaking up the amazing weather (really not trying to rub it in polar vortex friends) I really have to get creative with wearing my jackets. Shorts and a blazer is how we do winter in LA.

Hope you're having a good week!

Garden Party

Alright I know the weekend is over. But this weekend was just so g-double o-d gooood! I can't get it out of my head. It was the kind that you just want to freeze time so it never ends. There was lots of time spent with my favorite guy seeing and doing new things. It was the longest date ever and I mean that in the best possible way.

Oh and can we talk about my skirt? I think we should. I just want to twirl in it! It's like a walking garden party. But this party has a little surprise. Hello, leather! It was a spontaneous purchase from Hautelook and I even got the matching top. I think you can see a future outfit post coming.

Thank you so much for stopping by! xo

Layer Up

You probably would never guess but I love layering. Layering to the point where it's just for fashions sake not because it's cold. I've definitely cut back mainly because California has been stealing all the sunshine (sorry east coasters). But on this morning it was gloomy and that just fired up my layering skills! Perfect timing too! I'm co-hosting a linkup featuring layers with the lovely Claire on her blog, Little Miss Fashion Queen and would love you to join!

My favorite way to layer is with a button down-plain, plaid, polka dot, etc. In this case my trusty go-to chambray was the perfect piece to break up the tee and jacket. Don't forget to add some neck candy! What's your favorite way to layer?
Here are the rules for the link up: bloggers
1. Please use link up etiquette and follow your host and co host of the week.
2. Please provide a link to Little Miss Monday Link-up in your post, or use the button on your blog.
3. Please comment on the link-up.

It's a new week! Let's do this!

Craving Lately: The Shift

clockwise: 1, 2, 3
A shift dress is such an effortless and classic piece that's perfect for remixing. Honestly, I have a hard time going for something simple, but these frocks have a special detail that works so well. It's all in the details, right? Oh, yeeess! I'm thinking that teal one would be great day or night. Are you a fan of the shift dress?

And it's Fri-Yay! (insert confetti)

Leather Shorts

Hello friends! I have to introduce you to my favorite (faux) leather shorts! Can I just say these beauties were love at first thought? Yesss, thought. I think they were calling me because I had this sudden impulse to head to the mall on the weekend right at lunch, which if you only knew that I avoid the mall on weekends at lunch when errybody is there. But there they were hanging, one left in my size, and I just knew this is why I had that impulse.

Hope everyone is having a good week! We're soo close to Friday!

P.s. I also had an impulse to hug my cat before these pictures. Excuse the fur.

3 Essential Jackets

One of the best pieces in my closet are hands down a jacket that can take my outfit to the next level, you know that 'look everyone I really put a lot of thought into this but I didn't. It's the jacket.' These 3 essential jackets are key to finishing the look and what I constantly reach for and can take even a basic outfit to a whole new look like the one I'm wearing.

The moto jacket is perfect anytime of year and really adds some edge. Take a girly dress and make it  ready for a night out with a moto jacket. Pair it with something structured like trousers or a pencil skirt to make those pieces less formal. It just gives an outfit an unexpected twist that is so effortless.

The utility jacket is a great neutral that adds a little masculinity in the best ways. It's a great way to dress something down like sequins. Just like the moto jacket, it pairs well with girly pieces like skirts, dresses, and even lace.

Who doesn't love a punch of color? I know I love a good dose of color and a colored blazer/jacket really brightens up any outfit and mood. Whether you're wearing a tee and jeans or an LBD, a colored blazer will give new life and give that polished look.

So the next time you're stumped in front of your closet, grab a jacket! Hope this helps you get more use out of your closet!

Feeling Spring

Getting dressed these days means going into the dress and sandal section of my closet. That section that is mentally marked Spring. Considering I'm a beach loving gal, I'm not complaining. It's just hard to feel like it's actually January when it feels like Spring. I know, I know-it's rough. While pulling out some old favorites, I came across some pieces like this tote that I never used much and realize it's time to start making room in my closet. The good news is that you can have access to some of these pieces! An exciting new site just launched today called Blogger's Closet. Not only can you shop my closet, but you can shop so many other stylish blogger's closets. Make sure to check it out!

Thanks so much for reading! Happy Tuesday!

Pop of Blue

This weekend you were so so good. Nothing big or grand was expected and you really delivered! It was the kind of weekend where you don't rush anything, the sun is beaming with options, and you spend time with great people eating amazing food. Oh and you squeeze in time for a little baking and shopping!

There really is nothing like a good black and white outfit! It's fun to add a little pop of color and my Madewell flats are a perfect finish.

Onto some exciting news, I was kindly nominated for a blogging award by the sweet Sharon of Upbeat Soles. The Leibster Awards are given to new bloggers that are up and coming by other bloggers. So part of the fun is getting to know other bloggers and passing on the torch to other bloggers.

Craving Lately: Peep-toe Booties

1, 2, 3, 4

If there's something I'm a fan of it's the bootie! They go with everything and when I find a pair I'm head over heels over (sorry I just had to throw that in there) I wear them nonstop! But I've got Spring on the brain and guess who's got an update? The bootie did! The peep-toe detail is perfectly chic and not to mention great for showing off those pedi's. From dresses to boyfriend jeans, a peep-toe bootie will finish your look effortlessly. I'm thinking #3 would be great for work and weekend looks. Can you see yourself picking up a pair?

And can we all just do a happy dance for Friday!
Have a great weekend!

My Keds

It's funny how I think back to how my fashion choices have evolved and the certain things have stood the test of time. To be quite honest my love for an item is pretty short term. But those sneakers are from the first solo (no adult supervision) trip I took back when I was 18 to New York and I just can't help but smile when I look at them! My friend and I were first-timers and decided to walk from Times Square all the way to NYU. Yes, we knew there was the subway. No, we didn't really think it was that far. You know it would be fun to really see the city (thoughts of clueless 18 year olds). Our feet were dead by the end and the only way we were going to make it back was with buying comfortable shoes. Behold these Keds to save the day. We both proudly walked out wearing the exact same Keds. To this day we both have kept these in our collection. I guess you can say they're a souvenir.

Hope you're having a great week! Thanks for reading!
