Bundled in the City + Linkup

h&m scarf // crossbody bag // jeans // booties

You know what happens when you take a 36 hour trip to San Francisco over the weekend? You basically don't have time to get any blogging in. I did squeeze in a few pictures. And if you saw on Snapchat you knew I ate a whole lot and I was cold. However, I did get to pull out my favorite scarf and not look completely crazy wearing it in May. And you guys I know I've talked about this purse before, but it's my absolute favorite. The size and shape make it great for everyday or even traveling.

Now let's flashback to last years look here. Let's just say I'm ready to pull out this top again this Summer! And woah was my hair long!
Hope you have a great long weekend! Thanks for linking up with Jessica and I!

For the Love of Grey

If you were to catch me on any given day, there's at least a 90% chance that I'm wearing grey. The more grey I can get my hands on, the better. One of the best parts is that there really are like 50 shades of grey and I've never even seen the movie. Pair all your different greys together and it just creates a great monochromatic look.

Did you have a nice weekend? The boyfriend and I had a nice little day trip to Santa Barbara yesterday and if you've been a reader for sometime know that's my favorite escape! It's been awhile since we last went, but always involves a little beach time and lots of food. Oh, and wine! There's so many spots for amazing wine. I will tell you time and again, but if you plan to visit LA put Santa Barbara on your list. You won't regret it!

Winter Staples + Linkup

blanket scarf // white coat (similar) // cream sweater // tan skirt (cute option) // OTK boots (love these) // tote // aviators

If you guys just knew how things go when I pack, you would know that it's not easy. There's the whole weather thing vs. practical comfort thing vs. wanting to look super cute vs. how much the airline will let me pack for free. But my quick trip this past weekend to San Francisco was about 24 hours and I wasn't dropping off my suitcase when I arrived. Basically, making it extra complicated. So you see this outfit here and that bag, well that's all I came with. I can honestly say I packed everything I needed in that tote. I think I deserve a gold metal. No, I don't plan on doing that ever again. Luckily, I got the most perfect day and I had enough layers. However, I literally hiked from the Bay Bridge to Twin Peaks. The boots were not made for that much hill climbing. But my case in point is neutrals will never let you down if you are packing a limited wardrobe. Oh, and pack an backup battery charger in case you go picture/snapchat crazy. You'll thank me later!

And what do you know, today's flashback happens to be one with these exact boots! Clearly, these boots were and have been going places.
Thanks for joining the link up! Hope you will link up this week with Jessica and I!

Favorite Fall Outfits

Is everyone recovered from their Thanksgiving food coma? I think I'm still having a hard time realizing that the year is practically over. Anyone else? But with a little look back on November, I thought I'd share some of my favorite outfits with you. It definitely was a month I embraced more neutrals. The grey and tan look above (seen here) was perfect for an almost Summer-like day here in LA. FYI that skirt is under $20 today!

Give me them blanket scarves! See my 3 ways to style them here. But in the Sole Society office errbody was excited to see this plaid blanket scarf return and luckily snatched one up quick! This blanket scarf is really similar and under $12! #stockingstuffer

There's just something about oxblood, grey, and tan together that I cannot get enough of! See the full look here. These booties have been my go-to and are 30% off, which never happens. If you're in between sizes, I would do the larger size. They come in a bunch of other colors too.

Happy Monday!

3 Ways to Style Blanket Scarves + Linkup!

1. Wear it like a regular scarf: fold in half in width, then fold that in half in length, and then loop around your neck.

2. Wear it as a shawl! It's basically the socially acceptable way of walking around with a blanket.

3. Belt that scarf! Let's face it, blanket scarves are well big. So create a little definition and look extra cozy. Bonus points for looking like you really took extra time to look like you're trying hard.

Here are a few blanket scarves I'm loving:

Pssst! Take a look at last year's outfit here! It's something that I would have a hard time figuring out it's from last year because it's really on trend this year too! Don't forget to linkup!
