Grey and Black + Linkup

long cardigan // top via TJ Max // jeans // otk boots // scarf

Happy Friday! Anyone else feel like this week was a day too long? But on the plus side I think I've finally started some of those resolutions I wrote down. You know only three weeks in, but hey I'm gonna pat myself on the back here. Two of my big one's have been exercising and taking food to work. The food part has felt like I've been doing this forever, but the exercise part um just ask my body how soar it is. Exercise is going to take some time to get used to. I'm hoping we become BFF's soon:)

Anyway, if you can tell I got a serious love affair with grey. I've been stocking up on grey. If I don't have something in grey, then I make sure to go out and get it hence this sweater. Don't ask me what I wore before this long grey sweater because it's been worn nonstop-to work, to yoga, to lounge in. I'm thinking I should get another one in case anything happens to this one.

Thank you for linking up last week! Let's take a look at last year's outfit. I'm pretty surprised that it's a neutral outfit. My style has take a big shift to neutrals from lots of prints. You really can't go wrong with all black and sprucing it up with accessories.

Winter Staples + Linkup

blanket scarf // white coat (similar) // cream sweater // tan skirt (cute option) // OTK boots (love these) // tote // aviators

If you guys just knew how things go when I pack, you would know that it's not easy. There's the whole weather thing vs. practical comfort thing vs. wanting to look super cute vs. how much the airline will let me pack for free. But my quick trip this past weekend to San Francisco was about 24 hours and I wasn't dropping off my suitcase when I arrived. Basically, making it extra complicated. So you see this outfit here and that bag, well that's all I came with. I can honestly say I packed everything I needed in that tote. I think I deserve a gold metal. No, I don't plan on doing that ever again. Luckily, I got the most perfect day and I had enough layers. However, I literally hiked from the Bay Bridge to Twin Peaks. The boots were not made for that much hill climbing. But my case in point is neutrals will never let you down if you are packing a limited wardrobe. Oh, and pack an backup battery charger in case you go picture/snapchat crazy. You'll thank me later!

And what do you know, today's flashback happens to be one with these exact boots! Clearly, these boots were and have been going places.
Thanks for joining the link up! Hope you will link up this week with Jessica and I!

What I Wish I was Wearing

It really is sweater weather in LA and it has me dreaming up fall looks. While I already have this jean skirt (styled here) and love, I'm trying to keep wearing it as temps drop. Maybe it's an excuse to finally take the plunge and pick up those otk boots that I basically cannot stop thinking about.

OTK Boots for Every Budget

If there's one thing that's going to be BIG for Fall, it's the over the knee boot. It was all over the place last year but really only available at the price where you might have to sell your first born. This year is a lot different. Ladies, get ready to cover those knees in the most stylish way, because there are options. Don't get me wrong if I could take the plunge on those Stewart Weitzmann pair, I would. But again right now I would have to sell my first born and my other half probably wouldn't go for that. Anyway, I'm really curious about the Aldo version and making a point to head to the store to try them on. If they stay up, I'm thinking it's a great option. Otherwise, trying the Choices pair would be a good alternative at a steal! I also found these and are under $50. They come in 3 colors too.

Have you found a pair of OTK boots?

P.s. In other shoe news, Sole Society is having another sample sale. This week. Like Friday. Yeah, I've had my weeks mixed up so I'm barely telling you this. If you're in the LA area, it's from 10-4. I would get there early. Last time, it was INSANE. What shoes do to women is crazy! It should be a lot of items from August and September-so booties! Prices are going to start at $20. Hope to see ya there!

Navy and Black

Happy Tuesday! It's been a bit a whirlwind around here, but I guess you can say I've been all over the
place and it doesn't seem like it's going to stop anytime soon. Let's just start with these pictures and this is probably as close as I will get to having a couples outfit post with my other half. It might just be my favorite photo of us so far. Saturday we headed to Temecula for the first time with his family for some wine tasting. We are big wine fans and finally tried it out, but it still doesn't beat Santa Barbara. What can I say I'm a beach girl that loves wine! But you know what will always make sense when you go wine tasting? Hats! Doesn't matter the season just add a hat. I just knew this navy hat would be the perfect occasion to break it out for the first time. It's 30% off till today, so I'd snatch one up if I were you. Which brings me back to work, I just wanted to thank you for the love on Instagram last week on Sole Society's account. Guess you can say the cat's out of the bag-I work for Sole Society and my shoe and accessory collection is g-r-o-w-i-n-g by the paycheck!

P.s. You can't see the pretty details of this top, but trust me you need to see here!

Swinging in Paisley

Well I just can't deny my love for a good shift or swing dress and this just had to be mine! I really did try not to, but then my girlfriend sent me a text with this dress saying this is so you. Maybe I'm predictable or maybe it was a clear sign. I took it as a sign to get the dress. For the cooler months, it's perfect with a moto jacket and OTK boots. But I know it will be just as cute during the warmer months with sandals. No matter what though, it's always great for a twirling.

Hope you're having a great week!

Some days are just waaay better than you expect. It's even better when it's mid-week and you want to high five someone because you know the week is all down hill from here. That was yesterday. It was really good. I unexpectedly got out early. These blog pictures were able to be snapped. Annnd I got off early. I know that was already mentioned, but it's worth mentioning again.

This outfit is a prime example of my love for repeats. But this shift dress is one of those pieces I knew I would have so much fun styling different ways (see here and here). If you're looking to add a little playfulness, print mixing with floral and a touch of leopard is a win win combination.

Thanks for stopping by! xo

LA Winter

Well don't let the sun fool you here, it is actually time to pull out the beanies and boots in LA. Nope, I didn't just put them on because I really wanted to wear these new boots that have been sitting in my closet for over a month now. I really love the look of OTK boots but finding an affordable and flat pair wasn't an easy task. As you can see, I was up for the challenge. And they're about the only thing that's been getting me through the colder temps. Oh and lots of hot chai teas!

Thanks so much for reading! xo
