Colorful Dress

This weekend was filled with some interesting weather and by interesting I mean clouds and these little wet particles from the sky. I hear they call it rain. But dressing for this was semi challenging. It's August so it's hot, but it's wet out off and on. We had to special event to go to and the dress code was vague, so I always reach for a dress in a modest length. Turns out I was a little overdressed, but I still think this dress was perfect. If you ask me, you can never go wrong with a colorful dress.

Happy Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by!

Wedding Guest Dress

Well this pretty shift dress has been sitting patiently for me to wear and honestly had no intention of wearing it to a wedding. I mean I had no upcoming weddings to attend and I'm not big on crashing weddings. But all of a sudden last minute an invite dropped in my hands for some special friends for their wedding the next day. These love birds just couldn't wait a minute longer and just like that we made the 8 hour drive for this one of a kind wedding. Truly a magical experience!

Hope you had a great weekend! xo

It's All White

I'm not even going to lie, but was pretty obsessed with finding the perfect dress for my birthday for over a month. I didn't even know where I was going, but figured the right dress would help the process. I know real logical.

But life happens and the million and one ideas of what to do, what to wear, and with whom all went up in smoke the week before. No dress, no waking up at the beach or on a boat, and no boyfriend to enjoy all day. I was not excited anymore. Possibly had a big pity party.

And then it hit me after my girlfriends came to the rescue (both emotionally and physically) that I had it ALL wrong. That sure having a cute birthday dress is great, but focus on what's important-making the most of what you have. No it didn't go the way I had it planned in my head, but I spent the day with amazing friends, found an even better dress, and ended with a little date with my favorite guy.

So here's to a new year focusing on what's important, great friends, and date night's!

Lacey Me

It's funny how sometimes even I feel like I don't have anything to wear. Yesss, sometimes personal stylists don't know what to wear. But resorting back to what feels right to YOU is always a win! For me it tends to involve what I call boho glam-loose top, distressed denim, and some bling! And you know what? I got so many compliments this day (a rarity in the hustle of LA), it just reminded me to dress for me.

Thanks for stopping by! xo

Sometimes the week is filled with a special birthday that has to wait to be fully celebrated on the weekend. You might have seen last week on Instagram it was my favorite guys birthday. Hard to believe he's the big 3-0! We had so many different plans on how to celebrate, but let's just say this day in Santa Barbara wasn't one of them. It turned out to be us discovering a great wine tasting area with art and amazing food. Since Santa Barbara is about hour and half away, this floral romper makes for a comfortable outfit without sacrificing style. I've worn this romper before here, but with cooler temps near the beach I knew a jean jacket was a must. Let's talk shoes now because clearly I am admiring them up there. You can't really see my sandals, didn't really feel like telling the birthday boy to get on the floor although he did approve of them but they are on sale here for under $50. You won't regret them!
Happy Tuesday! xo
