More Olive + Linkup

sweater (similar) // jeans // purse c/o Coach // espadrilles (size up) // hat // sunglasses

Listen, when I find something I love I will.not.stop.wearing.it! It took me so long to replace my purse (it's still in my closet so it will show up again) to this amazing upgraded bag. I have to say that I've also been on an olive kick, possibly a whole other obsession. And I may or may not be writing this post in an olive top. But olive is just one of those neutrals that works year around. So while this purse might be from the spring collection, I already know it's going to work seamlessly into Fall. Is there a color that you love to wear every season?

Now let's flashback to last year's look here. And well, what do we have here--my trusty espadrilles. These espadrilles are still going strong! Basics are just the best.

Thank you so much for linking up with us! We love to look at all your outfits and posts! Our picks are Chelsea from Chow Down USA and Karen from Lady in Violet!

Olive Swing Dress + Linkup

dress c/o Route 32 // moto jacket (so obsessed!) // hat (new addition) // purse

Did someone just press the gas peddle on December? There's so much going on. If I list it out, I think I might scare myself. But tis' the season for lots of things, right? Even though it's very eventful right now, I have been filling my closet with essential pieces like this faux suede moto jacket (seen here) and this olive swing dress (under $20). It makes it so easy to get out the door. And can we talk about how this dress hides all the food babies? Oh, yes! I type this after eating a donut for dinner. #adulting

Now, let's flashback to last year's look here. I still love all these pieces! I might just repeat this look tonight for a goodbye dinner. It's on a rooftop, so need a warm outfit.
Thank you for linking up with Jessica and I! We truly look forward to seeing your posts and connecting with you! Our picks are Kristina from Kristina Does the Internets and Konstantina from K Meets Style!

LBD + Giveaway

black dress // jean jacket (similar) // espadrilles // purse // neck scarf

Any chance I get to head up the coast to my favorite spot, I absolutely will. Santa Barbara just does it for me. And I've been saving this dress for sometime. It turned out to be great weather for it too. One of the best parts about this black dress it the pockets. It really does make all the difference. Of course to balance off the bare shoulders, my favorite neckerchief was just the right touch.

Now let's talk about that giveaway! It's a BIG one! I've teamed up with some amazing bloggers and one of you will have a $1000 shopping spree to ASOS. Seriously, I wish I could enter this. You have until Friday 9/9 12:00 am CST to enter.

Traveling in Stripes + Linkup

stripe top (size small) // cardigan // jeans // espadrilles // aviators

My trip to Portland came and went really fast. I guess that's any vacation really. But if there's one outfit that sums up my style for the trip this would be it. Portland has such a casual vibe and cooler Summers than I'm used to. If you saw on Instagram, you know how much I loved this stripe top. Sometimes I have to stop myself from buying another stripe top, but the cutouts on this one make it a clear yessss. It comes in a few colors and currently on sale. I'm thinking I should pick it up in several colors. And if there's one pair of shoes you should buy it's these Soludos espadrilles. Let me tell ya I walked ALL over Portland day after day and didn't have any issues. I loved them for my last trip this year and this just confirms they are amazing travel shoes.

Now let's flashback to last year's look here. It's another casual look. I haven't worn this exact outfit together again, but I reach for these pieces all the time!

Thank you so much for linking up with us each week! Our picks are Lydia from Chic on the Cheap and Meghan from MC Squared!

Recent Buys Under $100

Middle row: fringe sandals $80 // lace up sandals $65 (on sale)
Bottom row: blue stripe top $27 // v-neck stripe shirt $40 (on sale) // ots black dress $45 (on major sale)

Neutrals, stripes, and everything nice is what I would say I've been adding to my closet lately. I have a tendency to wear the same things over and over, so finding variations of what I wear too much has been my goal when shopping. I'm still waiting for this and this to arrive, but I have a feeling it will be well received. Actually, most of these pieces will be making their way into my luggage for a fun trip this week. I'm really excited to wear the tie front dress and LBD (has pockets). I'm such a dress girl!

Have you found any good, fun basics you picked up recently?

Chambray Dress + Linkup

jean dress // saddle bag (similar) // espadrilles // straw hat (similar) // aviators

Annnnd I'm back from Costa Rica! They were the most amazing days on white sandy beaches with warm water and other days exploring the rain forest. But like I said I was visiting my Costa Rican friend for the first time and locals don't live at the beach or in the rain forest. They live in the city. Our first day was spent in the city of San Jose and Escazu. No, this is not your typical idea of what vacationing in Costa Rica is and truly would say skip the city unless you like city life. But we wanted to see her life at home. There really are some gems like a restaurant name Saul Bistro in Escazu, where we took these pictures. It honestly felt like you were transported to nature with the open, airy setting. I'm a bad blogger because I didn't get any pictures inside and the food was really good! And food in Costa Rica takes a lot of influence from America, so you can get many things you would at home including Starbucks (not that I did).

Now, let's flashback to last year look here. You really can't go wrong with a good pair of jeans! These are one of my favorites and while I've stepped back from prints, I do love a good coral around the warmer months.
Thank you for joining last week! Hope you'll linkup this week!

What I Wish I was Wearing

It really is sweater weather in LA and it has me dreaming up fall looks. While I already have this jean skirt (styled here) and love, I'm trying to keep wearing it as temps drop. Maybe it's an excuse to finally take the plunge and pick up those otk boots that I basically cannot stop thinking about.

Flashback Fashion Friday's Linkup #7

Free People dress // urban expressions clutch (old, similar) // sandals (old, similar)

When I'm obsessed with something, I go out and try to get as much of it as I can. I'm looking at you off the shoulder tops and dresses. And if you read the little blog of mine frequently you know that I've posted quite a few looks with off the shoulder pieces this summer. However, last year was all about the shift. After seeing this cute floral dress, my love for shifts lit up inside me and click click it was mine! It's even better in person-hello peekaboo trim and buttons in the back! It was the perfect dress for the weekend in this sticky humid weather we have been having. I'm thinking I should bring it out again this weekend for my date with Jessica

And speaking of Jessica, it's time for our weekly Flashback Fashion Friday linkup! Here's a look at my post last year. Okay, now I need to dig up those shorts!
